I’m baffled as to why they would actively help out Russia with weapons and suchlike.

In my possibly naive view I would have thought the present situation would suit them just fine. They are sitting on the fence watching the west and also Russia burn through weapons and money, whilst simultaneously selling us all their cheap goods.

If they wade in and get more seriously involved with Russia surely many people from all over will boycott their goods, let alone the bad feeling, and let alone the inevitable sanctions.

As I say, I’m baffled.

You can get very good products at stupidly cheap prices from China.

Just got delivered yesterday by Evri (was Hermes) 10 small hexagonal glass jars of Tiger Ointment (bit like Vick) which after exchange rate costs and delivery was only £13.33 (via PayPal).

You would have thought the delivery from China to the UK and onwards by Evri would be £10 or so, just wondered what the cost of manufacturing, packing etc was - £3+ only. What do the workers get paid, a bowl of rice a day?

By the way I have and still use this product and it is excellent.

Actually its ointment I've been using for my shoulder. Don't know what I've done (no, she who to be obeyed didn't hit me - well I think not)

It's a combination of arthritis and old age I think but it's been giving me a lot of pain whenever I move about on my left side.

As for my poor tiger he doesn't help much just lays about waiting for his next ratboy to come in the garden so he can have a light snack!

I know the feeling, did the roof on Friday up a ladder all day woke up on Sunday morning walking like Douglas bloody Bader. …. then the wife puts the icing on the headstone to remind me we were taking the Ratboy family walking in that forest near Helmsley banghead
Walking through Helmsley, it was quite busy, lot of people with dogs but Ratboy being a working dog just ignores them and never shows any aggression toward them but those poncy little yappers with ribbons and strangely coiffured haircuts all seem to have an inferiority complex as they snarl and yap…inbreeding
As for your ‘ tiger’ he’d just think it was a sheep in pyjamas with all them stripes… and tell it to beware of foxes.

I think anything you buy except food has a component made in China, components are made then assembled elsewhere. Although India are forecast to overtake the Chinese economy this year, I believe Apple have moved the iPhone production to India.

The guitars they used to make in China were hit and miss, mainly miss but are now better than ever, even Fender and Gibson are getting their lower end models made there. It's a pity we have no other choice if we want to buy something that it's almost certain to have to come from China. Saying that I mainly get my shirts and coats from Barbour in South Shield , they are not cheap but they are quality and " Made In Britain" !

You get what you pay for, report recently of Thailand buying two frigates from China who insisted on all Chinese systems… The Thais are now rebuilding them replacing them with western systems and dealing with structural build problems as well.

Maybe something to do with the cut price oil Russia are selling to them.

The Thais were going to buy a submarine from China, why Thailand would want a submarine I will never know. Anyway they can’t find an engine for it as the Germans won’t supply one.
Incidentally a Thai warship sank a few weeks ago, it was swamped by a wave, pumps wouldn’t work, over 20 dead rumours were there wasn’t enough life jackets.
