Those who watched today's game on I follow or whatever, wondering what you reckon to Leon Clarke? Is he going to be effective or another passenger?

I was at the game. he looked unfit and not match sharp. Can't blame him for that though. Even though we'd brought him on I'd have taken him off after 70 mins.

Thanks for the reply, mate. I was wondering. Been training with Pools for a couple of weeks so would have expected him to be a bit fitter and to hear KC talk about him you would think we'd signed Messi. Hey Ho.

fit for an average 38 year old is not the same thing as being fit 10 years younger. not many are still playing at our level at his age and he is never going to cover every blade of grass on the pitch. best we can hope for is the odd 30 minutes cameo appearances where he knowns he hasn,t to pace himself.

watched the game on ifollow and the father in law said who the feck is this coming on - have they literally started plucking lads off the rec on a sunday - overweight and didnt really get going - few neat touches and passes and his positioning still looked bang on which it should.

given he gets a bit more match sharpness and the ball falls for him in or just outside the box he will put it away. hes a player we should be looking to bring on about 70 mins - his experience etc may the difference against the shitter sides
