wish someone would come round with a petition to get rid of town councils or if that cannot be done have one where they do the job for the love of towns and not what they can get out of it. once they gave something, their time for no rewards. then you might see people actually working for you and not when it only suits their latest cause.

Hartlepool council have always been second rate and Lisa Nandy says that Labour will give more power to local councils in the running of their affairs. God help the town.

god help anytown if they did that. hate hearing stuff like that as westminster is awful but local councils are at another lower level. problems hartlepool have got are just the same as in most northern towns of a similar size. thats before brown envelopes are brought into the question.
