It is now 2 and half hours since the game ended and the Mail cant be arsed to post a match report. Please could someone point me in direction of a match report for today's game? Quite like to know how the young Arsenal CB did when he came on. What happened to Sterry? Was a draw a fair result? Were Sutton a team of thugs? I would quite like to read about these things.

Young arsenal lad was impressive.
Sterry has a foot injury. They’re not sure how bad yet.
Yes Sutton are a cynical bunch of thugs but they were miles ahead in the first 30 minutes.

Pools impressed in brief periods but overall looked disjointed and in the first half hour they were just awful at the back.

I guess given their superiority until the sending off a draw is fair overall but we had a full half against ten men and played pretty negatively. In my view I see it as two dropped rather than one gained but as I said earlier, four points from the last two games is four points more than most expected.

Cheers Mr I. Saw the goals and Pools goal were superb. Just shows that if you have quality in the team you can pull off the unexpected.

The first 35 minutes was absolutely horrendous, we were second best all over the pitch, bullied us, won every header, tackle, 50/50 and we couldn't do anything apart from boot the ball away!. Two really poor goals conceded as well, second one was pathetic defending. After the red card we scored with our first two attempts at goal and I thought we could go on and win it. In the second half we just didn't move the ball fast enough and made it pretty easy to defend against, had a couple half decent chances and their keeper made a good save from a kemp free kick, other than that he wasn't really troubled. Really need to take Featherstone out the side, he's just a passenger in games, not offering anything. Young foran did well when he came on, not scared to get stuck in. Dolan does not look a centre half at all, he also wants too much time on the ball and slows everything down. Really need to get at teams more!.

From the extended highlights the defence once again was a shambles. How many times have I, others , the manager spoken about self awareness. Ffs Curle get your players back on the training pitch and keep them there till after midnight until it is drilled in to their tiny brains. We just make it harder for ourselves. Sorry I’m in a bad mood because iFollow not worked last night see my other post. Second half better. 2 quality goals but why do we do things the hard way. Like I said before awareness in your box for a defender and tight marking are the basics get it sorted!

Curle has signed 11 players or whatever in the transfer window and that first 40 minutes was up there with the worst displays of the season, until the sending off. These new lads might look OK going forward but I'm not convinced any of them can defend. As for dolan at the back seems a desperate move.

KC said we have left the Transfer Window a lot better stronger team than the start of window.
Agree its Slightly better but Slightly wont keep us up.
2 very poor transfer windows and Managerial appointments in one season.
Cant fault the players efforts yesterday but end of the day the league table n clip of our squad tells me its still a Miracle required.
Guess like many others i became a victim of poolie false hope expecting us to win.
We toast

never expected a win for 1 single minute but happy with the comeback point. more confident of 3 points next tuesday night but even a draw means 3 games undefeated. living in hope gillinghams bubble has also burst joining the other strugglers.

I think from reading others post we are all in general agreement. There is an improvement but is it going to be enough? I think the general consensus is no but we live in hope. Curle still looking at other players. He knows we are still miles off but 4 out of 6 points we would have taken. Nobody mentioned though that inspite of quality goals by us the opposition were down to 10 men in both matches. Woukd we have won
Without the sending offs. Not a chance! Still there is Tuesday. What a sad ba***rd I am

Nobody was sent off at Doncaster. You must be thinking of the Rochdale home game.

Only a slight improvment might be enough. we are not going for the play offs but attempting to be the best of a mini league at the bottom where only gillingham have shown better form than us recently. Where do others think we,d be with this current squad if we would have had it back in august. for me nice and comfortable lower mid table.

After watching the first 40 minutes yesterday I think we would be very similar to where we are now. 4 points out of 6 though is a start. Huge game Tuesday I'm not as confident as I was going into yesterday now.

need to come out of the blocks much quicker at the start of games if the last 2 home games are anything to go off. giving ourselves an uphill battle to win a game. need to be wary on tuesday as by what i heard crewe certainly do but fade later on.

No body has mentioned the absolutely appauling refereeing of the game either - one of the most biased refs i have ever seen.... although he sent their man off he should of carded about half their team in the opening 25 mins - shocking tackles and blatant obvious errors from the ref..

one instance Beutyman fell over the ball and he gave a free kick - we where attacking their box and had men forwards - Jennings made it clear his thoughts on the matter and thankfully wouldnt let it go either ( i admire a player who gives the ref some when hes in the wrong)

but yeh once again Feaths having a shite game and offered bugger all - as stated by others Dolan is a very bad CB... no wonder Newport got shot of him... hes actually a worse player now than he was the first time we had him... looks sluggish and way off it tbh. He wouldnt do too bad in the NL - another whos fallen from grace tbh

hopefully KC sees enough and just sends him back as technically hes just on loan isnt he.
