Well Crawley Town have the games in hand. Betty's Boys are starting to join the "fun". Very interesting set of fixtures to come within days. If Pools do over Sutton for a change and get something at Crewe Tuesday week then it will look a bit brighter still. Up and coming fixtures:

Tuesday 7 February
Crewe Alex v Leyton O

Saturday 11 February
Crawley Town V Crewe Alex
Mansfield T V Gillingham
Rochdale V Northampton Town
Pools V Sutton Utd

Tuesday 14 February
Leyton O V Rochdale
Gillingham V Grimsby T
Salford City V Betty's Boys
Stockport Co V Crawley T
Crewe Alex V Pools

Saturday 18 February
Rochdale V Gillingham
Betty's Boys V Crewe Alex

If Pools do well it will be fun to watch the rest of them fight it out. Personally I would like Crawley to go and take The Gills with them (about time they had a taste of it especially after all that big hype recently when they played Liecester City). Have soft spots for Crewe and Rochdale as they are our old rivals going back a long time. Its looking to me like Rochdale have it the worst and I am thinking now that Betty's Boys will go as well and well, was it a good decision Luke? At least your dad will hopefully take Darlo up.

I think it's nail biting until the final couple of weeks of the season. There are still a lot of points to play for and anyone of half a dozen sides could get dragged into the mire.

Crewe playing all the dross in Feb, could be bang in the shite if they keep up their losing run

Crewe could be the team that capitulates.
Remember Lincoln going down after being about 14 points clear in Feb.

Still every chance of a Darlo v Spennymoor play off final.
Hopefully the winners dont have a derbie with pools next season.
Plenty of twists and turns on the way come what may. sctatchinghead

I think we have a battling chance now, which I didn’t think a fortnight ago. it’s just a case knitting it together. Pick the best eleven and have no room for promising youngsters…..just the experienced players who know the score and do the job.

would like to know KC take on our position. does he go for not losing and picking up single points in the next 3 games or really go for wins even if we do lose a couple. it will be 3 points gained no matter how its done although not losing is a real confidence booster for the defence.

Even though we were level until late in the game KC was making positive substitutions towards the end of the game. So, I think he is going for wins rather than draws and rightly so, we need points.

The league table tells us draws are 2 points dropped. Its still a massive ask to stay up.
Minimum of 6 points from these next 2 games then the Great Escape Part 2 could be achievable given this team n that team even tho we clawed back a 10 point defecit.
Its that overused word on here.
Hopefully.

It's sods law that most teams at the bottom had a good result last Saturday. Happens a lot, but sooner or later a couple of teams are going to fall away- it just mustn't be Pools. Treating the remaining fixture list as some kind of crystal ball is a waste of time. Good results can happen anywhere, any time for an improving team - as can the odd dropped bollock.

I didnt think, even with the start we did that come Feb every game at this point should be treat as a final - which in our case it really should... unfortunately for us our rivals have added good players which doesnt usually happen ... then you have the likes of Colchester on a resurgence ... but fortunately again being replaced by the looks by Harrogate or Crawley... still a little bit to do but yeh even picking up the odd point here and there does feck all for our survival hopes - few of our games coming up also to me look like draws and more than likely will be - just have to hope Crawley or Crewe have their bad run of form over the next month or so and replace us in the table. Crewe have the advantage just now in that they play some winnable games - again i hope we are too much for them and we take our new confidence and momentum to them ! win on saturday and for me its a different team altogether so who knows what will happen - we may go unbeaten for the rest of the season.. this is football lets not forget !

anything can happen at this level but i feel alot of those games speak for themselves !

Crewe Alex v Leyton O < LO for the win

Saturday 11 February
Crawley Town V Crewe Alex < Crawley to take a point
Mansfield T V Gillingham < can see the Gills edging it
Rochdale V Northampton Town < NT for the win tbh
Pools V Sutton Utd < can see us getting a draw but my heart says 1-0 to us

Tuesday 14 February
Leyton O V Rochdale < has to be an LO win
Gillingham V Grimsby T < again Gills to edge it
Salford City V Betty's Boys < Salford although can see this being a dodgy one
Stockport Co V Crawley T < has to be Stockport
Crewe Alex V Pools < us

Saturday 18 February
Rochdale V Gillingham < Gills again although a draw wouldnt surprise me
Betty's Boys V Crewe Alex < Again a dodgy fixture in which Crewe may edge it
