This weekends team sheet, see if there’s a huge change in personnel and will Killip keep his place……all very interesting.

think there is only derwent who can wait to see the starting 11 before he needs to set off. if i lived closer to where pools are playing i,d never set off for the game that includes killip before the new keeper gets a chance.

I have already committed to spending the day elsewhere so I won't be going. I was offered hospitality by Doncaster with a meal etc but politely declined. The first time I'll miss a Pools visit to Donny for 45 years.

I would imagine it would be something like;

Stolarczyk

Sterry
Dodds
Foran
Pruti
Ferguson

Kemp
Dolan
Featherstone

Jennings
Umerah

Just hoping for a bit more pace and ideas like running with the ball creating chances would be a good start going forward.

Stolarczyk

Sterry
Dodds
Dolan
Pruti
Ferguson

Kemp
Finney
Kiernan

Jennings
Umerah

Foran, the big lad from Arsenal, will be a shoe-in and is bound to start I reckon. The midfield is the most contentious, if Dolan is fit I would expect him to start, as for Featherstone I'm not sure.

there is 2 options ive pondered with since seeing the final introductions last night - various formations has gone about my football whatsapp group but all have the same recurring feature - No Feaths and No Killip !

take them 2 out of the equation and we are already somewhat better off !

there is an idea we could play a nice 4-3-3 given Kemp and Kiernan are as good as some folk have made out .

get Sylla and Dolan in the Midfield for sure - but if its the Dolan we seen last week then he too should be dropped

Agree, No Killip, No Featherstone, Sylla in and the rest should pick itself.

I think Dolan should be at CB,add a bit of experience to young back line.

TBH no wonder Killip does get his place every week he hardly has the best strikers testing him - hopefully now we have better players it may be even more evident for KC clown to see !

Don,t change the team selection process now, Just do what we normally, Names in hat and draw them out. Or is that the tactics.
Think Killip puts the names in the hat.

yes, and sylla to start. pack the midfield to flustrate em by getting in their faces with the hope of nicking a goal for 3 points. they are not a load of battlers and they do not like it up em mr.curle. think most would be happy with an ugly win and its time we get ugly as i seriously doubt we have the flair for fast open football. just hope the new lads who should be playing show plenty of energy without nerves and not try too hard to impress by their skill.

was thinking the same with the new lads on the bench and brought on with 5 minutes to go in an experimental position.

Oddly enough I wouldn’t be surprised at all, ridiculous as it may seem, but I really do hope he’s seen sense and starts a good number of them, otherwise what’s the bleedin point?
This is serious now, well at least to us it is, so no time for players feelings or anything else now, it’s just a grinding point gathering exercise for our league place, anyone underperforming is excess baggage.

thats it .. why bring in reinforcements if you arnt going to let them join the battle front.

I just hope he does drop Killip and seriously consider not starting Featherstone - this new keeper is meant to be the dogs bollix by all accounts and has his praises reaped by a very good prem manager who i would listen to over what the clown thinks...

Giving new life to this team and the new lads chance to impress in a debut scenario is a recipe for success and it worked for the Gills and Colchester just after they had signed some good new players - and im pretty sure years ago when we got Tish and Hugill in we did the same

can understand the keeper not playing as soon as he walked through the door but he has been around long enough to get to know the players now. all this being too early to introduce a number of new players all at once never washes with me. its not as if the others showed much understanding together in most games.

the worst thing that can happen is losing the game. If he plays em all and lose then he has a week on the training ground to right the wrongs. Think there is some unwritten code for managers now as it seems safety first with em all and risks are only taken when forced upon them by the scoreline.

I am not having that a footballer is a footballer they all play the game with the same ball.

We have a womens team, why not setup a walking football team as well. Then a few first teamers can still get a guaranteed game.

keepers are a bit different though. you need practise with em to find out which is their favoured foot without having to think about it and what type of balls they come for or not. defenders have enough to concentrate on without having to think of what their keeper wants from them. outfield players are different or should be at the level they are at.
