I expect we will renew our acquaintance with Shelts next season.

Will we have a full bench today? Surely anyone with any nounce would have held on to Shelts until after the Rochdale and Carlisle games.

And I'd have kept him - decent lad, was he given a proper chance?

'sometimes in football things don't make sense' - what does that mean?

Just had a thought with Shelton leaving and McDonald taking part in the Carlisle game.

Can anybody hand on heart say McDonald adds more to the team than Shelton.
Some of the team selections are mystifying, But what do i know.

Simple answer, McDonalds still here because nobody has come in for him.

I liked Shelton seemed like a genuinely nice bloke and well remembered for our playoff season, but don’t think he is the man to get us out of trouble…. All about who we replace him with

I agree, but they're not remotely the same type of player are they? Wide left is one of the few outfield positions Shelts wasn't asked to play while he was here.
What's really depressing is McDonald hasn't scored since the beginning of October and he's still Pools' joint second top scorer :(

I fear that that we should not have let Shelts leave - and I have a nightmare that I might find myself saying the same about Tumilty! Yes, both had their limitations but...................look at the incoming.............or, indeed, the lack of incomings......

And yes, I hang my head in shame and apologise to my mates on the terraces - I fear that we will miss Barry's mate, Tummers.
