Like a lot of owners, they all think they can make it work out where others have failed, but you can’t succeed if you haven’t got the acumen or financial clout, or ideally both, to pull out the resources when needed.
We’re drifting down river to the relegation waterfall and the currents speeding up from now on.

We keep hearing all about the credible bids but from who, I can’t blame Singh wanting back any of his monies he has put into the club I’d any, he is a business man not a die hard Poolie with money to burn. .

I am still trying to fathom out why he ever bought Pools and took the debt on, did he do a business plan.

The people who have brought the club in the past, have always wanted to own the land that the club is on to move forward or to redevelope .

In my opinion they want the land, as part of the package sometime down the line, and if things go tits up with the club, they own the land and can do what they want with it...subject to planning permission...like I say my opinion, not a statement of fact.

A credible bid does not include Singh recouping all his loses. It is based on assets and the estimated future profitability a potential buyer places on the club.

We do not own the ground, or have the ability to redevelop around the ground (council been dragging feet on this issue for years) and have a squad full of non league standard players and as mentioned already it is very hard to make a lower division club profitable. It maybe we have had enquiries from other people to buy the club but theirs and Singh's valuations are way off.

mine as well. beware of the land developer living miles out of the area with love of the land and not pools. do anyone want to warch pools on a poolie version of glandford park even if we kept our league status much longer. raj has never been my idea of the perfect owner but beware of who tou wish for in todays world.

IOR always had that gripe about buying the ground and negotiating with the Council got them nowhere which is probably why they wouldn’t invest in the ground.
I have no problem with the Council being the landlord, but a bit of a helping hand as other authorities do around the country, wouldn’t go astray.

its hard to understand the councils position where pools are concerned. having a league club in the town is far better for any town than not having one. its free publicity for the town anyway and what other publicity does the town get to its advantage. go back 60 years to when accrington stanley resigned from the league. the town mayor at the time stated it was the worst disaster the town had ever had but what help did they get from the local council if that was the case.
