Signed on a permanent deal. Full back. Details on the OS. By all accounts a good young prospect.

That's 3 in in 11 days. Not a lot like last year's January transfer window at all...

Signed on a permanent deal but no mention of a fee so I'm wondering if Boro released him or did we pay something?
Anyway, he is right back so if he is as good as it is suggested, Sterry's never ending injuries will be less of a problem.

A good young prospect.
Hope he can handle the step up in divisions.
At least hes not suspended.

He’s a good lad, quick too. Can play full back or cover in the centre as well.

I agree with Loanstar, he’s been brilliant at Darlo and enjoyed watching him play - picking up the ball in defence and storming down the wing.

well others have moved up two divisions and goalscorers as well who carried on scoring with their new league club. lets just hope we have a bit of luck and the lad comes off.

You're right. Remember how well Lewis Cass did for us. Dodds could well do the same.

Yes he can but he’s better at full back. Likes to bomb forward.

Despite the signing of Dodds being yesterday evening, Keith Curle has not said a word about him. Happy to give a non- committal interview about probably not signing Bryn Morris but nowt about this exciting young player.

The most likely explanation is that the radio interview was recorded before the Dodds signing was confirmed.

Quite possibly but we are now 24 hours post signing and not a peep from the manager. Normally you would get a sound bite or two. "Been watching him for a while". "Glad to get this over the line, he is a great prospect." "He'll give us a bit more pace and an attacking threat." That sort of thing. Seems odd but I guess at the end of the day, it matters little.

There were a few quotes from him on official site about signing Dodds, stating he'd watched him a few times etc. What we don't seem to be getting lately are player interviews when signing, just quotes.
