KC was rumoured to be at his house in town for a few hours the other night - Raj not paying what he is wanting though supposedly

would he really improve us ? Lidds was 34 and did a cracking job (technically Hartley has been playing at a lot higher level over the last 10 years than what Lidds did too)

experienced - good understanding of the game - knows what is required at this level

Worth a punt on a short contract with options but of course that may not suit all the "stakeholders".

hearing now its a done deal - pics taken at the vic as we speak

if we have him till the end of the season and he can slide straight into the back 4 or 5 whatever KC fancies this week then fair play.
by no means is he any worse than Lacey or Murray.

Being able to organise the back line is just if not more important than pace, If your tactically in the right place
You won,t get outrun.

exactly. some of these old pro,s seem to go through games without breaking sweat and the ball seems to be like a magnet to them. its players who have pace and nothing else who struggle as once thats gone so are they.

Interesting article from his Indian club. Personally, I'd have him back in a flash.

Well if its a done deal it is a very slow burner. No mention of it on official sight or the Mail.

Nor in the pre-match interview on the OS with KC. Pity, as he's not cup tied - Matty Dolan is ruled out because he was on the pitch for 1 minute as a cup substitute for Wrexham!

The Stoke game could be a bit bloody if Shelton has to play full back again. Still, got my tix - it's cheaper than the boxing!

Agree with that.

Something to do with his contract coming to an end in India.

Strong and experienced CB. I hope he is still up to the rigours of League football after two years in India. Not criticizing or moaning, just hoping.

At the moment our best option is hope.

Has a ton of experience and hopefully can form a good partnership with Rollin Menayese, like Gary Liddle did with Ryan Johnson and then Timi Odusina. That was a short-term fix too, but nobody complained about how it worked out! Here's hoping.

Peter Hartley isn't available on Saturday - has to serve the final match of a 3 match ban in India before he can get international clearance to play for Pools.

All we need now is news that Dolan is injured and Sterry is still out.

Oh dear, hopefully if we do have another CB as a priority, WHICH WE SHOULD HAVE, he'll be registered before Saturday.

I am guessing you have inside knowledge. I hope you are right. The Mail recports we are close to a signing but speculates it could be Dodds, a Boro youngster who I gather is a full back. Dunno. We need to strengthen our team because the Gills are sure as heck strengthening theirs.

It is imperative that I'm right. We need at least one training session with Saturday's probable team, especially the defence, and we travel on Friday.
There's a few arses along Clarence road that need to be connected with a rocket or two.

The upside with Hartley is he'll have a fortnight to integrate with the team before the home game with Rochdale.

It should go without saying, but Pools' season won't be decided this Saturday, whatever the result.

both me and my lad have been saying for months that something could be decided on that game for both clubs. the ideal would be a draw that suites both clubs and it could be a big party time for all.
