Have a go yourself, samsung combos are notoriously bad for drying. Have you tried washing and drying a very small load ?
Anything over 7kg just wont dry (it wont even try)

We buy a new one every two years on average cos the bloody things are as reliable as an Italian tank.

A tumble dryer uses massive amounts of leccy, it would be cheaper to bin the clothes and buy new ones Like jack Reacher!

Even the separate ones only last about 5 years with average use. Gone are the days of em lasting a near lifetime with ease of repair if they did go wrong. People used to throw working ones away because, usually the woman of the house, fancied a new model then lived to regret it. All household electrical stuff seems the same now.

The electricity that is generated these days is far inferior to the stuff me Mam bought. That is what is causing the problems with modern machinery.

Thanks for all comments seriously thinking of going new.
My grandparents had a hotpoint washer for 50 years. The only thing that was replaced..once, was the heating element. It had a mechanical mangle that would make whatever was put through it, was nearly dry. I was fascinated by how it worked forward and reverse gears two speed mangling, marvellous..an absolute magnet to young people's hands..and once it bit me, never again was I glad for reverse gear...and the very quick thinking of my Grandma. God bless her.

Because I live in a flat I bought a Washer/Dryer, waste of space, the drum is too small and it took forever to dry clothes, I tried using it but then used a clothes stand, clothes were dry overnight for free.

What Monkeys?...get yourself down to the Fish Sands, and make sure Verrills is open.

Thats for people who know how to cook.

You coundt dry much over a Microwave.

[quote="Grayhoundend"]clothes stand the way to go.

Thats when you had decent coal burning fires...you knew when you had a good lump of coal on your fire, as when it got hotter you could see the tar oozing out of it, before it caught fire.

Gone mad and brought a Beko.Dryer, B rated, has Eco mode ..suppose that when it stops working.
Unlike washer dryer that is X rated

Will only be used when washing cant be hung out.
Thank you all.
