I was criticising the Mails reporters viewpoint Mr O, not yours.

First half last night was diabolical, probably worst half of the season and there are plenty of contenders. Second half was a bit better and extra time we were the better side. Very alarming how easy Solihull got in on goal last night, killip had to make about 3/4 one on one saves and a few others. I know our defence is very makeshift but we were just getting caught out by simple balls forward. Think the balance of the game changed when odour came on, having him and grey on means we actually have players on with some pace and directness. Few decent displays, Killip obvious MOM, Sylla was decent, tumilty second half onwards, Murray actually did fairly well but he's a very limited player. Feathersone and Cooke were very poor, both are a bit slow and leave us lacking in legs in the middle, wouldn't play them together. McDonald was crap, never tracked back and did very little right. Glad to be in the second round but overall we probably didn't deserve it!

I know a win is win, Killie made some good stops but Solihull had chances which went wide, take the points from the game £40k in the bank, well was that the only good point. All the talk on Tees was beating Harrogate and getting a big team in the next round, one game at time please.

The prize money should contribute to the Town End being open v Harrogate.

this always riles me. why talk about something before a gam,e is played and they know the result. the fact is we could get gillingham away if they win their 2nd round game as easily as pools could get a money spinner. all this yap leads to fans being didappointed in the end.

Harrogate had a good away win in the 1st Round at Bradford. They will think they are favourites to go through to the next round - maybe after a draw at the Vic a week Saturday.

the game could go anyway and its pointless anyone talking about the outcome till it does happen. A replay could be very interesting indeed for both sets of fans as they will then know who the 3rd round opponents actually will be and not hope who they will be.

Amidst all the talk of who we get in the third round, yes, RichyHpool is right - we were beyond awful on Tuesday night. Sure Curle inherited some dross, but shouldn't he have them looking like a team by now - a group who just may have trained together - rather than the school boy consortium we suffered on Tuesday?

2 wins, 1 draw, 1 defeat in the last 4 games. It's Pools' best form so far of this horrible season.
With so many first choice defenders unavailable it amazes me Pools this Pools side doesn't get hammered every time it goes onto the pitch - though Barrow might be the ones to take full advantage.

training together and playing a game are two different things. think curle should be given credit for papering over the cracks.

Maybe the injured players just aren't very good. When they were in the team did we even win a game?

I think Menayese is the best central defender we have and I am sure someone quoted stats to to say we concede less goals when he plays. Although Lacey is a long way behind Menayese he is Pools second best central defender. But hey, football is all about opinions.
