I am not in an argumentative mood today.

A draw and a home replay wouldn't hurt. Pools haven't got another home game scheduled till 3rd December and 2 weeks off after Barrow away on the 19th November.

If Curle plays all the reserves a defeat is nailed on - if not an Everton U-21s style embarrassment.

Round 2 of the FA Cup is scheduled for the weekend after the Barrow game, so maybe we still will have 2 weeks off after that

Let's be positive for once although it's difficult. I go for 1 -3 and cross my legs very tightly but I do have a good feeling about this game.

anything but a draw please. means another game where there will be another few missing injured if we have to play an extra game. want to see everyone up and running for our next league game. think there would be more interest if the game was decided on the day and they ditched replays for good.

Pools NEED to win to continue to get ye momentum gained from the Grimsby game. Even with the players we have we should be better and fitter than the opposition.

Happy to be corrected but I thought Solihull were full timers so there is no reason they would not be at least as fit as Pools. As for being better, that is a moot point. Solihull have been consistently winning games this season in a league not that different in terms of quality to League Two. Their confidence will be high and their fans will be right behind them. Dont mean to pee on anyone's parade but it is looking far from promising. But fingers crossed as ever.

usually the televised games are on live because they are looking for a shock in there eyes with a non league club beating a league one. surely if thats the case pools should be their number one choice of a live game.

I guess it wouldn't be much of a shock if an in-form NL club beat a team second bottom of the Football League.

No Kev, I said ‘I ‘ have no plans , (or should that have been great expectations, for round 2) what your plans for round 2 are is up to you, it’s a strange one.

pools have gone out to worse sides than solihull moors with a better set of players available. will be a shock result if solihull do not come away with a win. 2 nil to them and for once i hope i,m correct.

It will be a shock if they don't beat us. We are dreadful, we struggled to beat them when we were half decent. No way is this group of players better than them.

wuth you on the result like many others. jusy hope the players do not get extra knocks from fans just because they were poor enough to make our predictions correct.

I only hope that the players realise the importance of this fixture holds to the fragile confidence of the group, last season losing in the papa John's trophy signaled the start of the downward spiral. We need to build on the Grimsby result and get some kind of a run going.

Spike's league form was pretty poor from the moment he took over - as was Tony Sweeney's when he was caretaker. Last season Pools kept getting up for cup games regardless of how they were doing in the league. Never seen anything like it in 50+ years following Pools.

This season it is mainly Hyde with just the occasional cameo from Dr Jekyll

I'm surprised we got the draw and maybe unlucky not to win. Probably could have done without the extra game.

We also appear to have unearthed a half decent forward.

On the other hand, Ferguson didnt play, I presume injured, and Lacey went off injured. We are seriously running out of defenders.

I was there today and was really impressed by Pools. Solihull will do well this season and would hold their own in League Two.
