World Cup Qatar laws.
If fans players cant respect their laws for 4 weeks then they fully deserve whats coming to them.
Im straight and wudent even contemplate going to an Arab State Country.
And the Stone Island cranks, wrong country to play throw the bottles.

Will still be a shit load of fans ending up in the clinker like blaming the Qatar laws.

Simples show respect and you will be fine.
England to win it.

I might be wrong but there won’t be streets full of open air bars, alcohol sales will be confined to hotels and at the games, my research says it will be £12-15 a pint, there is going to be a fans festival area in a park, I can’t imagine how hot it will be though.

r espect should be shown in all countries but surely there would be a better country to play the world cup in. funny how as its getting closer there is less and less said about the stadium building deaths and their laws. even the BBC and the woke brigade are quiet.

What annoys me, is when people from western countries turn up telling the locals you need to be like us.
The world is a big place of differing cultures and we in the West are but a small part population wise but have this aura of looking down on others cultures….just maybe they don’t get excited by our supposed idea of how the world should be run.
It would make a pleasant change if we tried to respect other’s cultures.
Mind you, I can’t see me watching it, can’t abide the guff about how England will do.

its because of all the hype about it before the ball is ever kicked that puts me off from watching a single minute live. then you get the experts at work who come out every 4 years spouting what they hear on the box and never watch their local club between the tournaments.

The most annoying thing about people from England is when they go to a foreign country they can’t understand why people don’t speak English, don’t sell Carling lager and they can’t buy an English breakfast.

Some fans are going to get a shock i think.
The thought of 4 weeks being sober resulted in Scotland boycotting the event.

no different though to many who come over here who do not learn our language and set up their own shops and eating places to satisfy their needs. thats called diversity and enriching our society. when we do it we get laughed at like brits abroad on holiday.

Same as all the plastic Man U, Sunderland, Newcastle ‘fans’ etc in Hartlepool, the majority who have never seen the inside of a football ground.

Fully agree. I am pretty sure the LGBTQ people will deliberately seek to annoy the authorities so they can make a point about how their country should be run and of course the western media will be right behind them. I have a feeling identity politics will overshadow the football but I wont care cos I am not all that interested in Southgate's England woke warriors.

Remember Obama’s Arab Spring, liberating them from their societal restrictions so they could enjoy shopping malls, drive thru’s and be like us dontcha know.
That worked out well didn’t it.

I overheard a conversation on Monday out for lunch and was dying to turn round to look, but the wife said she would look for me  … three couples in their sixties and one woman was telling the others how her husband was Man U’s biggest fan and one day he hopes to fulfil his dream of attending a match at Old Trafford…my face nearly fell into my potato skins, salad and garlic dip.

only after someone involved with the competition from the west actually refuses to go to it. the players and pundits seem happy to take the money and they are the ones allowing it to happen.

Sussex UK: I never mentioned construction workers or women. If a football fan is gay, he or she is not forced to go to Qatar but if they choose to go there, all they have to do is abstain or be discrete during their time there rather than provoking their authorities in order to make a point. I hope this is clear.
If UK politicians and activists wish to criticize Qatar from afar, I have no issue with that because politics, just like football, is all about opinions.

Quite right. If the football establishment gave a toss about dead construction workers and oppressed women and homosexuals, you would think they would boycott the tournament, but it appears money is much more important than principles. I presume they'll wear rainbow arm bands and/or socks and we'll all applaud them for their bravery.
Oh I almost forgot; they'll be some serious knee taking going on.

know it might be an age thing but can never understand why drinking and gambling seem to get closer and closer together with football as the seasons go by. even when i did drink i think i was only pissed once at a game and at away matches my main interest is finding a cheap cafe to eat rather than where away fans can get a drink.

Currently everything is being swept under the carpet, by the time January comes round nothing will change, workers will still be dying, human rights will be ignored and gay people will still be persecuted.

Undoubtedly true but ya know, there has always been inequality and oppression in the world but the good news is that there is far less these days than in the past.

Not normal people (freaks).
But nowadays have more rights than normal people.
Normal people.
Born man stay a man.
Born a woman stay a woman.
Man has sex with normal woman.
Woman has sex with normal man.

Normality a thing of the past nowadays.

Camel burgers are cheap as chips and there’ll be no beers in the local square so that £60 will suffice.

come on who can say what is normal and what is not. different yes but not abnormal. just let em get on with their lives as most of the group will do the same to you. got a lesbian couple next door and one 3 doors down. all of em work contibuting to society and not a drain on it. they do not bother with pride events or want special treatments in any way. like a lot of things in todays world its others and not them that are demanding change and special priveledges for them.

Gay people are not freaks, just different in just one aspect of their life.
From those I’ve met and worked for one, I see no connection between them and their portrayal on the media or events.
They just want to get on with their lives like the rest of us.

same with other so called minorities because of the colour of their skin. its the bloody MSM again stirring up the shit getting people against each other by banging on about it and promoting diversity and inclusion at every single opportunity. if things ever did kick off really bad in this country they will be the ones to blame more than a few right wing racists and homophobes.

Normal people.

What 'more rights' do you mean? You're as entitled to to put in for gender reassignment as anyone else Kevin. Sure most on this board would support you through it all.

Just goes to show how some one’s opinion can be changed for cash, Gary Neville, David Beckham and Gary Lineker to name a few.
