None of them ever miss a meal. More obvious in the case of Steve Bruce, who has just had another massive pay-off for failure at West Brom. Must be like winning the lottery with someone else's ticket every time

Bit more sympathy for Gerrard as he left Ibrox, where he was loved, to take his chance at Premier League success at Villa. A 'great club' with very demanding fans that has won naff all since the 1980s. They should have a collection of elephant's tusks outside the main entrance - a place where manager's reputations go to die.

Perhaps a reflection of the gulf between English and Scottish football?

There’s only two teams in Scotland and he must have had it comfy there with Rangers, just a race between the same two…..much more challenging in the Premiership.
Doubtless someone will fall for his scouse charm because there’s always a club who thinks he can do a job for them and he’ll join the merry go round of not quite good enoughs, but well compensated.

Rangers and Celtic fans have only one interest not get beat in an old firm game a bit like some Pools fans years ago as long as Pools beat Darlo nothing else concerned them.

only real challenge in the premier league is to push one of the top six down to seventh to take their place for a season. at the moment thats the best villa could ever do without the mags type of financial backing. villa in their present state can do a watford and have a new manager every month but will be mid table at the best for them.

Gerrard won Rangers their first SPL title in 10 years. He'll never need to buy a drink in the blue half of Glasgow on the strength of that.

Thing is in the Premiership most teams can offer a more challenging performance than the supporting cast in the SPL…..Villa are another team talking the talk about being the ‘BIG CLUB’ but fooling no one. They’re just world famous in the West Midlands .

TBH Villa was too much of a step up and i was not joking about a team like Boro being a better fit. He is only learning.

Michael Beale was on Gerrards coaching staff at Rangers and Aston Villa, he left for the managers job at QPR who are top of the Championship.

There's food for thought.

He went from being a big fish in a little pond to feeding frenzy time in the Pirhana tank.

Maybe they couldn’t understand his ‘slight’ scouse accent.

He retired from football at 21 years old, I copied this from Wikipedia,
Beale's playing career started at Charlton Athletic, after being released by Charlton, he had short trials at FC Twente in the Netherlands, and at clubs in the United States, before calling an end to his playing days at the age of 21.[1]

Beale's next step in football was to invest some of the money he had made as a youth player into setting up a futsal club for children in his hometown of Bromley, South London.[2] It was while training children here, that he caught the attention of Chelsea Academy boss Neil Bath, who in 2002, offered him a role as a part-time youth coach at their Cobham Training Centre.[3] As a coach of Chelsea's Under-7s and Under-9s squads, he worked with future Premier League footballers Tammy Abraham and Dominic Solanke.[1]

After admitting to becoming somewhat frustrated with the lack of progression of young players into Chelsea's first team since the takeover of Roman Abramovich in 2003,[1] Beale took an offer to work at the Liverpool Academy, beginning as the coach of the Under-16s team, before progressing to become coach of the Under-23s. It was in this role that Beale first worked alongside Steven Gerrard, who was coaching the Liverpool Under-18s at the time.[4]

He could be a tip for the top in the future.
