Appreciate that the hand we have is pretty shite but some rules Curle has to follow

1. We can’t play Murray and Lacey in a back 4, i would love to find a way to fuck Murray of in a back 5 too, but with the players we have need to drop Sylla or niang into defence. Watching the other 2 pussyfoot their way through a game can’t happen again….and don’t get me started on them having 2 year deals

2. Sterry and Ferguson at full back- the other two Scottish lads are again way below standard and need to be binned as soon as possible

3. cooke has to start…not perfect but the best of a very limited option of forwad facing midfielders….if we can shoe horn a side without Shelton and Crawford that would be nice

4 Odour to start again not perfect but a much more intelligent footballer than his competition

5 Umerah to start … no brainer

6 Hastie nowhere near the squad ..the fact we paid money for him and he’s on a 2 year contract makes me want to cry , absolute shambles that was allowed and shows Hartley had no fucking clue

actually i thought murray was showing some improvement until last night. it must have been really hard to play as bad as he did.

That midfield will get us relegated by early in the New Year. I’m no fan of Shelton and Crawford but until Featherstone comes back one, probably Shelton, should play. He can at least pass to a team mate. Niang and Sylla are lucky that their weaknesses are over-shadowed by bigger weaknesses elsewhere. How many goals to we have to lose where the other team run past our midfield, usually unchallenged, and are on top of our back four or five with spare men. The goal last night where they had a 4 v 2 on Lacey and Murray is typical. You have to defend as a team. We don’t.

I’d play McDonald up front until Hamilton is back.

you have to attack as a team as well. how many goals have come from them this season. as for mcdonald he,s a one position pony and moving him from out wide would weken the side even more and would be totally crowded out in the middle.

Is Curle playing a long term game as regards the team, when we all know they need a good shake up. They need to start functioning as a team as opposed to a rabble in flight…. And the time is now!

Curle was right in what he said about our players not chasing or tracking back after losing possession, one even running off to argue with the ref about being fouled while the opposition progressed up the field. Second time he's done that in 3 games. Half hearted blocks and attempts to get a foot in, really uncommitted and lazy tactics.

Need at least a good performance.

It is surely at the point where Curle has decided on his best eleven. So would he please start playing it and sticking with it.

What actually is the best team though. 6 if fit are nailed on but the others are the problem as most have had one decent game but failed in others. just get the stats out and see who the best of the rest are looking at work rate and how much they get involved on the pitch in a positive manner.

Heard a bit of Curles interview on bbc radio Tees this morning.
From what i heard it was a dressing down for the players and questioning some of the players motivations and the fact some of them are shite.

Anybody on this board could have done that interview.

Being away from home is a lonely place, If your not involved on a Match day.

You can excuse people for not having the tools to do the job. you cannot help being not up to it in sport or any other parts of life. however there is never an excuse for lack of motivation, trying and giving it everything you have got when on the pitch. if any player is prepared to piss the season off at pools who else is going to gve em a chance as a pro footballer if they get a free from a relegated or struggling club. some need a long look in a mirror and ask themselves seriously if they could have done any better after a poor performance. anything but a yes means they might be in the wrong job. curle does not need em and neither do us.

In any other form of employment if you were slacking consistently you would end up out of a job, in sport it’s different take the p’ss and clubs can’t do much about it, a player can warm the bench all season see his contract out and still get paid every week.

once though the slackers were outed by the players who put in a shift everywhere at the club. not sure the old dressing room and training ground bust ups happen anymore in this sanitised game and world.
