The problem as I see it is that the MSM only had one question and after answering it three times the PM was handed a free get out. They had a first class opportunity but succumbed, as usual, to their obsession to concentrate on resignations.
We were let down today by the MSM. Four questions, three asking her why she was staying and another asking for an apology to her party.

It was embarrassing watching Truss scanning the media people thinking who is going to ask me the least awkward question, she then realised she run out of options and walked out

It was embarrassing but the people who made me cringe were the MSM. The markets, financial experts and tax experts are all looking for clarity on the funding of the decisions that have been made but no one from the press seemed to want to ask them. All we got was why are you staying and are you going to apologise. You might be happy with that line of questioning but I would prefer the questioning to be at a higher level than that. It was like asking the Labour Party if they had any policies.......a waste of time.

They didn’t get a chance she walked out before any of those type of questions could be asked which I am sure they would have been if they had been given the chance. Truss selected the journalists BBC, Telegraph, ITV can’t remember the 4th one who she thought wouldn’t ask the awkward questions, she was probably told before hand who to select.

It was the SUN I think.

Nah Jamie they would have gone on and on asking the same question. I would say that she should have warned them after the first three had asked the same question by stating I refer the honourable ............... to the answer I gave moments ago. It was a great opportunity wasted. They used to waste question opportunity during the covid era and they are still doing it. Never learn.

Is it because if they ask the awkward question they won’t be invited to the press conferences ?

Who knows. I think they are a farce. During Covid Bojo used to dangle them like puppets and his band of experts baffled them with science. The interviewee is in control as protocol deems that no interruption takes place and hardly any follow ups. The PM also can answer as many or few as they like.
Journalists are denied their favourite weapon of constantly interrupting.

TV journalists always ask their question so that the Q and A can be shown on the 6 o'clock news. The Times/Guardian/Independent/Sky et al will not have taken kindly to being denied a question. They will be doubly damning in their criticism of her. She won't last long.

Everybody seems to have the opinion on how long she will last. The fact is that if/when she goes, she'll be replaced. When you get rid of a politician all you do is replace said politician with another one.
It is the latest sweepstake, guess how long they'll last.
If the Tory vote collapses they won't automatically turn to Labour you know. We could have a Lib/Lab pact looming and then you will know.

The Big question is - will we have more Chancellors/Prime Ministers or Hartlepool Mangers in 2022? I guess the Hartlepool Mail will have to have a poll

The problem for the conservative party is there is no creditable candidate for PM as all the senior MPs are tainted by being involved in the shenanigans of the past 6 months.
Perhaps its time for someone who has their hands totally clean of touching anything to step forward such as our illustrious MP Jill Mortimer.

Whichever the Mail concludes, I'll back the other two.

If you listen to all the self appointed experts an interim PM and Chancellor is exactly what we do have.
Mr I could be right and his prediction that Boris will be back might just be fulfilled. Who else is there???
I wouldn't blame Bojo if he told them all to piss off but even Labour Party members are saying the Tories made a mistake by getting rid of him.
The Labour Party have sent out an e mail asking the membership to contribute to an Anti Liz Truss fund.
I get the feeling that some in the Labour Party are a bit nervous now they appear to be closer to number 10. Are we really up to the task in hand is the big question? When the electorate are finally asked that question, will there be a mood of a step too far.
We shall see.

Looks like the Conservative MP’s unhappy with the members choice are after bringing Sunak back.
It’s like the Brexit stalemate before the election where they all became a law unto themselves in Parliament.

That's how he's always come across to me, Snowy.
If Mr I is right and Boris makes a come back he's dead meat.

Let’s be honest, gone are the days of the working man making it in the Labour Party, they’re all middle class suits if you scratch beneath the surface.
Different labels but the twee liberalism is there in all of them in the Party’s of today.
