I could never understand why Timmy O left Pools for Bradford. He got his revenge on Saturday when he gave a pen away against S C****y FC and hence the points for DC. Best defender we have had for ions apart from Tyler Magloire who went to The Cobblers of NTFC. sadx

Er …what conspiracy theories sctatchinghead
If as you say you don’t know why he left, how come it’s a ‘conspiracy’….as you say, you don’t know.
I suspect he left for more money, call me naive.

He left because he was offered better terms, he only became a regular under Lee and had the habit of giving goals away.

without being a pools fan its easy to understand why anybody would leave pools for bradford city. more money, playing in front of 20,000 fans at home. without his pace he,d be a non league player as his defending on corners was pretty poor. then there was his mistakes which he still seems to be making. really stupid and pointless challenge on saturday that was the turning point of the game.

I know Timi had his moments and sometimes would have us thinking how are you on the pitch - but id have the lad back in a heart beat. We spoke about finding gems from none league, if he could get some of his game fine tuned and learn to defend a little cleaner then he would be one of those (i know he came from Norwich but as a relatively unknown mostly playing in the none league).

He went for more money in a team tipped for Promotion under a former premier league manager - wouldn't you ?

again him and the other lad we gave to Bradford (hendrie) would easily walk into this team just now

Odusina was always the player who stayed back for corners or free kicks because of how quick he was. Lost count of the number of times last season he got a round of applause at the Vic because of a well timed tackle when a forward was bearing down on goal or (just as often) conned the ref into giving a free kick if the forward was daft enough to give him a touch. Just goes to show his football academy education wasn't entirely wasted

I’d have him back in the team now no problem.

nonsense, thats the biggest conspiracy theory since we were told men could give birth and someone conned us that the world was actually round.

Donaldson played out his skin to help Pools get back in the league.
His reward. Most of been derisery to knock Pools back to sign for the mighty Morpeth.
Similar thing with Liddle to South Shields.
Unambitious dogooders wont like this being brought up.
Get over it.  :o

Do you reckon Blofeld organised the revenge penalty to tempt Bond to investigate, you never know

Kevin ….the only person bringing it up anymore is you, we’ve all moved on, at this rate you’ll still be rabbiting on about it in the 2028/29 season.

The same old move on move on reply.
Always your answer to failure.
Just stating our half Decent players can't get away fast enough.
And not many if any go to a higher division.
What does that tell you?

Yes it is ‘the same old move on reply’ because it actually is the only option to failure.
You can move on a or sit there telling the world you were right till the cows come home, it won’t change anything because it’s history now like every other little bit of football drama down the years which in the great scheme of things is of little importance in reality.
You ask me what it tells me, it tells me Terry Bell was sold to Reading over 50 years ago and I was fuming as a teenager and I then gradually learnt that that’s life in football, players go, owners go so don’t expect logic and certainly don’t take it too seriously or you’ll age rapidly.
Where we differ is, I don’t get upset or surprised by anything in football or life because it’s soap opera, and…… I’m a cynic.

Football drags you down then lifts you up ……only to drag you right down again, it’s a roller coaster ride on grass.

Thanks for comments Bunkerites. No I am not suggesting that Timi gave that pen away deliberately it just happened to be against you know who. He always seemed like an honest likeable lad to me who yes made mistakes but quite often made up for them and looked comfortable on the ball. I guess you are correct he went to The Bantams because of money, the crowd the stadium and maybe the manager. Still, like him and Tyler McGloire with those two still here and Sterry and (Fergie) no not that one, in the team I would feel a whole lot more positive about things. I wonder what Brian Drysdale and Tony Bircumshaw are doing these days? Anybody remember them?

Two grand full backs. No one got past Bircumshaw  and his facial expression never changed, like some camp commandant observing his inmates

And Birky had a shot on him as well as I recall from a dead ball.

Alan Goad, another no nonsense full back, a good servant with 418 appearances.

Hey Snowy, I remember Alan Goad a lovely lad who was from Exeter I believe. I saw him at Exeter in the late 70s and he scored when Pools lost 1-3. I believe he took over The Square Ring pub just off Church Street if I am not mistaken.
