Sadly I can't make this one so I'm going

2-1 Pools again.

crowd 5,133

39 seats ripped out, 4 sheep shagged to death and 14 arrests for invading the pitch.

I’ll go with that, but I query the sheep shagging figure as I expect the figure to be much higher….. after all it is the pre Winter mating season in that neck of the woods.

They have drawn the majority of games away from home and given we have been draw specialists as well, the bookies would probably predict a score draw.

Obviously hoping for a home win but I’ll predict 1-1…

dare not predict a win even with our luck changing and its curles old club so he,d love a win. 2-1 defeat with 15 arrests wrongfully for them attempting to impersonate a human being. no shhep about so lock up your pets.

Can't argue other than about MOTM (will be one of Sylla, Unerah or Crawford) and we'll score 3.

Edited correctly as it was invaded by an outsider.

Carlisle only lost one game all season and have only conceded 10 goals so logic would suggest we wont be scoring many. A nil nil looks on the cards in my view but as we all know, its football so anything could happen.

This for me is a game we win - we are on a high, the same thing happened to our home form back when DC took over. It took a few good results and we turned the vic into a fortress - this again under Curle should happen again and why shouldnt it .

keep that formation - albeit change one or 2 of the subs and timing of them should the game play out that way and we win the game 2-0.

Umerah will score and i dare say we see a Menayase or Lacey get a corner header in !

You were doing well till you mentioned scoring from a corner.

Carlisle sold out their allocation of 685 tickets and Hobin reckons 5,000+ total have already been sold (that will include season ticket holders whether or not everyone turns up). Think the official crowd will be closer to 6,000 than 5,000.

A score draw looks likely - but I'll be gutted if we don't beat them!

Pools have had 6 draws so far this season only one other team have had six draws and that is Carlisle. The Cumbrians have only lost one. Draw seems highly likely and a Pools win not likely.

Once you sale the line up you feared the worse, Sterry and menase fit and a
New center back, I really would play Sylla there until then

The defence will relegate us. Midfield / attack, not horrific.

Perspective is needed. We are without a doubt in the bottom four worst teams in this division. Only a footballing miracle from Curle will save us. Mark my words.

:animals-dogrun: NDjoli - will disappear into football obscurity after this year. Very very poor footballer, his record says as much.

Murray - will return to league 1 of Scotland.

Hamilton - will fight for a career in football for one more year, before going semi pro

Tumilty - will return to where he came from last season.

Sylla, Lacey, Umerah - all good additions. .

Hastie - will return to league 1 of Scotland.

The recruitment has been appalling. Simple as that.

Bit extreme. Quite a few bad teams in this division, Donny looked poor on Tuesday yet picked up a point at top of the table Orient today and sit 8th. Carlisle have been very good under Simpson too.

There is a lot of shite in this league, unfortunately Harrogate have money to put it right
We need to be lucky with injuries but a back 4 including Lacey, tumilty and Murray is national league north standard and I suspect Curle knows that

My opinion. I genuinely think it’s us Harrogate, Colchester, Crawley. 2 of of those or us will be relegated.

agree with most of that apart from Lacey who is way too weak
Cooke decent too, and McDonald has something in him but not a starter
Sterry and menase fit and a quality centre half and we have a chance

Newport also have a halfwit as a manager so could get sucked in and gillingham have issues behind the scenes but yes the 3 you mention with us look worst so far

I thought Lacey was decent today. Cooke - unsure of his position - a luxury player, capable of a great pass but not the answer we need right now for me.

Cooke has lead boots, couldn't win a header to save his life, Killip completely bottled the third goal didn't even attempt to grab the ball in a 50/50, we were second to every ball all over the pitch, Carlisle wanted it more and deserved their win. The defence without Menayese is poor.
The head of recruitment whoever he is needs bringing in for a disciplinary on that showing.

Defense at fault allowing opposition too many shots and conceding a shocking 10 corners. According to Eddie Kyle all the goals conceded came from shots outside the area sounds like Killip must accept some of the blame. We desperately need to get something from Harrogate next week.

The difference from Tuesday night was massive, we were winning all the second balls on Tuesday but couldn't get near today. Didn't fancy us when I saw Menayese was out, the amount of goals conceded when he's not played really shows the other 2 centre backs up, they just fall to pieces. Lacey isn't too bad alongside him but looks lost when he is paired up with Murray, who is simply not good enough along with Tumilty. Carlisle to be honest were a good side, controlled most the game and our midfield couldn't get near them. We just have to hope we can keep in touching distance by January where Curle can hopefully bring some quality in and get rid of a few. Really need sterry and Menayese playing every week, make such a difference to what replaces them.

I thought the third goal was well offside but will have to see the lowlights to confirm. Regardless, Killip was at fault for not playing to the whistle.

Awful second half. We were overrun by a stronger, quicker side, especially after Patrick came on (he grabbed the 2nd and 3rd goals).

Way too many Pools players on the pitch who can't win a 50:50 ball to save their lives - Tumilty, McDonald, Crawford, Cooke. Murray is brave enough but as slow as ice melting.

We badly need Menayese, Sterry, Sena (Niang) and Featherstone back to toughen up defence and midfield.

As for Pools in attack, if we carry on playing as much Route 1 stuff when the weather turns colder there really will be ice on the ball! Where's the plan B when it doesn't work - like today?
