Maybe it’s recycled coffee….I was always convinced the urinals in pubs were plumbed into the beer pumps after a certain time, chilled, fizzed and sold as Finnish lager.

Was told as a kid that the waste waters and hops from Camerons were sold to Vaux and that explained why Samson was pish and Wearsiders had issues. OK, woke-ishly wrong, but I believed it at the time.
