This bloke keeps going on about this so called promotion budget. The truth is he met a director of Morecambe last season who told him Morecambe got promotion on a "micky mouse" budget which we all know was true. Every now and again a team does surprise the bookies like Morecambe / Leicester / Wimbledon winning F. A. Cup / and probably the biggest shock Sunderland winning F. A. Cup against all the odds. Its time for Raj to stop treating us like clowns and tell us what that "promotion budget" was afterall what harm could it do the treasure chest is spent now!!! I do not believe a word that comes out of his mouth now it was all about the season tickets and the money money money. They made a small fortune last season on transfers / cup runs / tv / gate receipts / sponsorships and league payments and quite simply must have had enough left over after paying off the previous owner to put together a REAL promotion budget and if not where is the money? Maybe its being dwindled away on huge directors salaries? I dont know whats going on the man talks about transparency but all i see is the magicians hand at work which will ultimately end in disaster cas we are no ones mugs Mr Singh.

That was my point ;)

Established EFL players like Cooke, McDonald, Odour and now Maguire haven't come here for buttons. There's been a lot of blather about Pools signing non-league players but there have only been 3 - and we had to pay a fee to get Umerah. Not going to get into the ridiculous 'debate' about what it's cost to sign the Scottish players - obviously they don't use real money up there and we swapped them for boxes of kippers.

I don't doubt that Pools have spent plenty this summer - the worry is, has it been spent wisely?

I believe there are those who have an agenda, but appear to have a problem actually defining just what the answer is. I suspect the ‘Believers of Challinor’ still have a problem that their hero/ Messiah left them and they cannot accept the bleeding obvious reason why and look to blame anyone and everyone but their saviour.
I knew it was going to be difficult with such a large change of personnel and it would take time to bed in, but some from the very outset were condemning the manager and players without having seen them play, which in itself defines such views as nonsense.
Surely any fan gets behind a new manager and encourages new players, but some just gave out bile from the outset.
Even a new manager, won’t solve some people’s demands as it’s obvious their problem is with the Chairman….. well if they’ve got the money, take it over.
There’s always an Eskimo telling and African how to cope with the heat.

exactly. its the recruitment lot and the manager fans should be having a pop at if they think doing that is positive and things will change overnight. raj aint signing these players but just providing X amount of money for others to do their job. we could have the biggest budget this division has ever seen and splashing out 6 figure transfer fees with no guarentee the team would be better than it is now. some of those big names from the past in division 1 are constantly doing this like portsmouth and still end up even missing the play offs never mind promotion. splashing the cash has never really worked at salford and stockport have less away points than pools at the moment. getting the recruitment right and the money will look after itself.

I am thinking the same. Here we have somebody who is asking for explanations from a man, when he plainly states that he doesn't believe a word that man says.

It's like stating that his local pub serves dross and then going in for a skinful.

"I think that is a good value bet for promotion at 16/1. May be pushing it with the other but would be pleased to be wrong. £25 gets you 11 pints in King John Tavern. If i am wrong so be it but i have a gut feeling about this season and a"I am certain we will be very good under this manager and I really believe a top three finish is realistic. Its early days yet but from what i have seen of pre season we look more solid in defence have a experienced midfield with bite and flair and a front line that is fast direct and full of goals. Its all about opinions but now you have mine. Have faith UTP"

"Just put £25 on @ 70/1 for title and £25 for promotion @ 16/1. Really believe in this manager and his signings."

"Please Raj keep D. C. and in doing so you have the supporters totally on side. You have been amazing so far against all the odds and done exactly what you set out to do and we really respect and appreciate you for everything. Once again Mr Chairman I urge you to keep a tight grip on the best manager we have had at this club since the mighty Coops.. These type of managers are special and together you can do amazing things for HUFC."

raj will just never win with some and never will. if he splashed the amount of cash they wanted him to do then he,d be accused of getting the club into severe debt by doing this and putting the club at severe risk of going bust.

It is beginning to unravel now. Mr 43 looks like he might be saying bye bye to his £50.
It also looks like Raj is getting the blame.
It also looks like his are the words that can't be believed.
Be interesting to see what he says if PH turns it round and we start climbing the table. Yes I know !!!!!!
You couldn't make it up.
As an aside.....I normally have a flutter on Pools but this year I didn't bother. The odds are lengthening mind.

This is always about Raj, always the fall guy for the torch and pitchfork brigade who tell you what they want in the vaguest of terms and haven’t got a clue how to go about it, a bit like eunuchs in the harem….. and like the eunuchs they can do nothing about it.
