A fantasy from the outset, pure ego from one man and the trouble is most of the fans swallowed it like sheep.
Those who did the maths on it must have been pulling there hair out in frustration…a soulless metal bowl compared to Feethams.

if it had not been football related he,d have been laughed out of town. many football fans will believe anything positive about there club, but the same ones are dubious of any other plan for their town.

It’s what falls from the top, the Premiership with their fancy Dan stadiums and Academies trifles down to the bottom and while the Premiership have glass and chrome gin palaces, at our level it’s it the tin sheet and breeze block Councillor Eric Molotov Community Stadium shared with the local 4x4 club and Tractor ploughing Society.
I like the Vic, it has a soul.

one thing about these new grounds that exist in the lower leagues is that they seem to age very badly compared to the older ones with character. glandford park being a good example of this. it was certainly hard to realise that on my first visit to the old boothferry park in the mid 60,s that the place was only 20 years old.

Always said they should of redeveloped Feethams.
Already had a huge stand along the side of the ground to right of away end which was big enuf to just leave.
Take no pleasure from there demise.
Hopeing in the not to distant future the EFL derbie can be resumed.
And all the other NE non league teams keep progressing up the pyramid.
10 years time
Pools Darlo York Gateshead South Shields all in the EFL with Scarborough Spennymoor Marske n Stockton in the Vanarama.
Fantasy Football
