I know we expect a good side with free transfers and results so far are dissapointing how ever when a lot of money is spent millions upon millions on a team of superstars.

Half time

Brentford 4 Man Utd 0

Funny old game is football.

I bet their version of our entitled whiners will be giving them grief….. ‘Peter Schmeicel’s Gloves’ will be writing in incoherent Manc morse code and ‘Large Pedigree Canine’ will be describing how him and God discussed the match.
Barrel of laughs….not! sadx

Lets be honest never been right since Fergie retired, lppking at the good job Moyes has done since joining West Ham would it have not been better to bring him in for ayearr with Fergie as manager designate so he knew how to un a big club, The difference between that era and now was the manager werre more dictator like and the backroom staff were exactly that.

Mustn’t forget his team were mostly ‘home produced’ and they did have a certain will to win ethos with Roy Keen and Gary Neville as enforcers on the pitch, but they were a team in the true sense…… fast forward and the manager is a coach, someone buys the players and he has make them perform. Most of the players are very expensive foreign imports, some of which have an attitude problem to boot.
Time for the all powerful manager to be re-invented.

makes me wonder nowadays if fergie or cloughie would ever get a job in top class football in this country. the game has moved on to where its getting more and more difficult for british managers to succeed at the top. lose a few and they,d be gone for a bloke with a funny name and accent who will be given more time than his predicessor.

Fergie was given more time than any of the people that have followed him, so he wasn't very far off becoming the same statistic as they have become.
Cloughie was only ever appointed to an already existing top tier club once, at Leeds and he lasted a matter of days. He got both Derby and Forest up to the top tier and did exceptionally well with both of them, especially Forest. I always thought it strange that he wasn't chased by other big established clubs or even given the England job. They used to say the FA and Club Chairman were frightened they wouldn't be able to control him. Sad really because I would have loved to see him in the England job or with a really big club.
I guess we'll never know.

There is a statue in Albert Park Middlesbrough of Cloughy with what looks like him walking to the ground with boots over his shoulders. The pilgrimage is worth it and on par with those of the worlds major religions.

See Gary Neville is calling for the owners to come over and face the fans……might I suggest it’s the player’s who should be facing them?

Ive heard some of the Liverpool players are already on the beach in Birkenhead with Nunez teaching the locals the ancient Uruguayan art of head butting.

Hummed & Hawed over it,knowing whichever way I went I would lose.

Agreed a deal to sign a Real Madrid player for £70million, shocking that clubs are throwing money about like confetti.

I'm pretty sure you could build a decent attacking trio of Ryan Giggs, Mason Greenwood and Cristiano Ronaldo...

Not at football though!

but the days of fergie and the class of 92 are over at the top level and just cannot see em ever returning. surely it cannot be good for the game when only money and managerial sackings seem the way forward.

Klopp has said if the Man.U fans cause the game to be postponed Liverpool should get the 3 points.

I think the days of glory are over for a long time now for MU and will just take a position in the trailing pack.

Something has to be done to discourage any action that could prevent games from taking place.
As usual the authorities have to take the lead on this.
I always think the best deterrent is the deduction of points, maybe that is worth looking at.
Man Utd fans think they have a God given right to win trophies etc, maybe they should be shown what is unacceptable in their quest to achieve.

Entitlement sums it up nicely, …and the tedious ‘Up where we belong’ for deluded clubs in the Leagues below the Premiership.

The new clubs coming into the PL are much different now than they were 10 or so years ago.

Gone are the days where Stoke or Bolton would visit with 5 at the back. Now teams like Brentford, Brighton and Fulham go places to win, sure they might get spanked sometimes, but they'll do damage if teams let them.

plus the millions of compensation they get if they go down which makes em stronger than the rest of the championship. yes, a real level playing field where all teams like rotherham have is fulfilling fixtures in the hope of a few shock results along the way. glad pools will never be involved in stuff like that.

The ‘fans’ are having a breath holding tantrum and looking for scapegoats.
They’re entitled and can’t come to terms with being shit….. so they want an even richer owner to buy them success.
I suspect they need to dump a load hangers on, slim down the backroom crowd and get a manager who’s allowed to manage…. and players with the right attitude, so have a fire sale of the ego’s….. but not just yet
