That said, I nearly missed a home game when he dived at the bay window to get at the postman, he went through the window unscathed, me expecting blood everywhere and it was just a bloke passing. I had to go to the glaziers, get a piece of glass cut, go back prepare it and fit it, but made the match…try getting rid of the smell of putty on your hands though.

I think we can finally agree on something.

We started off with collies, the bog standard sort but they are just so obedient, no vices, it was like taking the Pope for a walk on a lead.
Ratboy is the sort of terrier who if he was human would install his car radio with a chainsaw….Snowy looked like and was Animal the drummer off the muppets…characters!

I liked the quiet ones just as much as the characters, the thing is the characters provide the memories
l’ll freely admit that every dog who I finally had to put down brought a tear to my eye, I don’t even do that for people, but people never have that sense of trust in you and loyalty.
