Top bloke, our saga about the wife’s crap Dyson made me laugh, he turned up at our house eventually to take it away and ‘sort it out’…… from the way he described to me the way his modifications would work it wouldn’t even be a Dyson when he was finished!
Miss him on here, though doubtless he’s somewhere with a pair of wings he’s modifying on the wind up.

No Jordan Cook in the squad? I thought he'd got a contract despite his disability?

I doubt you’d ever hate to tell someone you told them so, you’d probably luxuriate in your own smugness………and I made no big calls , just expressed my faith in the manager like others on here, which after one match shows your true colours.

And how condescending you were as well… I tried and tried to tell you. But no. All those pundits and football journalists got it wrong as well. Crash bang wallop - reality well and truly hit.

I always made a point all the time on this board of if ever being proved right, had the tact not to swagger round telling everyone I was right, bad form.
But you’re not right. Here we are, you got the result YOU wanted, but that’s just the first game but your beating your chest and telling the world you’ve been proved right,
.There’s a long road yet to travel.
Oh by the way, ‘condescending’ in your world is anyone who doesn’t follow your script.

I’m not swaggering around. I’m a pools fan and was there yesterday - £120 deep. There’s just a certain irony.

To that matter, I think we will bounce next week and draw. I do think we’re in for a very rough ride this season based on the league 2 level quality in our team right now. A 19 year old from Sunderland doesn’t quite cut it and I HOPE his Scottish imports cut the mustard when they adapt. He’s questioning the desire in the press - on the opening day!

Some of the views expressed in pre-season were like polar opposites - which is what happens when people allow themselves to get drawn into an endless to and fro. There's always an option to just shrug your shoulders and think, 'I'm not going to bother to reply to that.'

Hopefully the reality of this season is going to be somewhere in between - neither a brave new world nor a disaster. After yesterday I'd have money on Hartley banging on a few doors (the way Challinor would) about getting that fabled 'marquee signing' over the line. He hasn't come to Pools to be a fall guy and knows the club has a low tolerance threshold for failure.

We need a few Stella signings by September.
These Ace Lager signings dont look to promising.

Thats a dignified reply considering you spent £120 been accused of wanting us to lose.

I've always found that the people who are super quick to pronounce "I told you so" are slow coaches when it comes to " well I got that wrong didn't I"
Realistically one match is not a reliable yardstick to confirm anybody is right or anybody is wrong. It does serve as a platform in highlighting areas to concentrate on however and hopefully the management and players will take that on board.

Managers. Players. All come and go. I will follow Pools near and far regardless. We’re all idiots supporting this football club.

My opinion is just that the current playing staff are short of what is required for this division. I will say it again - I hope they prove me wrong.

Lots of top teams this year in L2 with recognised, known names in their team.

Er, what’s the money got to do with it, I’ve been to lots of away matches, but the money was never an issue, you go because you’re doing something you like, the irony in this case is lost on me.

In a similar vein to Snowy, I’m retiring from the bunker - it’s not worth my time dealing with utter cretins like you. Dread to think what kind of bloke you are, urghhh.

Ya can cut Snowy a bit of slack with his obvious dementia.
But this Poolie 1 crank who is the hardest man on the internet needs to change his bad attitude.

He needs evicting from the Bunker for his own safety.
I seen it happen a few years ago underneath the Millhouse Stand when a pools fan got sparked out for slateing a fellow poolie on social media.

Time the mods showed some Authority,

Listen carefully, with crass moronic comments about dementia (which affect peoples family’s personally at this very moment), you trumpeting your absurd ‘opinion’ over something as irrelevant as football, makes me now wonder if you should be on this board?
Then you compound your ignorance by advocating fantasist violence against a poster but sounding like some throwback to the early seventies, I know, I was there with my Ben Sherman shirts DM’s, clip on’s and Levi’s, but I grew up. You on the other hand……???

Poolie 1 has done nothing but defend the club, team and manager admittedly vigorously against some nasty posts, but challenged the whiners chorus who live in a financial la la land and probably couldn’t run a toy train set round a track without pictogram instructions and you don’t even operate at that level, you just tag on to what you perceive as popular and perform the role of unthinking performing parrot.
Jeeez.
