I was told by a friend (so could just be complete bollocks) that the contract was offered to Cook to prevent him suing the club. His injury was misdiagnosed by the previous physio and treated badly which meant he trained on it and caused what he has now supposedly. Could be why the physio suddenly disappeared at the end of last season but also could just be a he said she said scenario

sounds a good plot anyway for a new sherlock holmes film or an episode of vera to get to the bottom of it.

well philip marlowe was on the job and got a tip off where peterlee was concerned. he pulled out of the case as he got a more lucrative one investigating a hate crime.

..my bet is that the physio is still in the stadium somewhere ..plenty of building work been going on there recently..and who was the last person to see him anyway?..usually a good indicator of who the villian is tbh...

I thought I saw a Smurf coming out of there the other morning when I passed in the car, but maybe he’s just a sloppy painter :character-smurfguy: .

I can’t decide what will happen with Cook. I think his contract offer was subject to proving his fitness but he has had surgery the other day which I assume we have paid for.

I can’t see us doing so without signing him on when fit?
