Well I like to think of it as a tug o' war. On the one side of the line you have what the player and his agent want and on the other side you have what the club want. For days, weeks and maybe even months the two sides try to tug the other in their direction and over the line. In the young keeper's case I suspect it was five minutes for the club to get him over the line.
