Have I or have I not said he left for personal reasons? I’ve asked a question I haven’t insinuated it’s to do with wages or anything so you’ve again put words in my mouth that suit your agenda

Not an issue, just don’t recall it being mentioned.
Footballers are like a ‘Man for all Seasons’ a reason for leaving for different audiences.

Do I know his wage? No. Do I know if he would’ve stayed for more money? No. Do I know if he’s earning more at Tranmere? No. Nobody knows those.
All I was asking is if anything COULD have been done to keep him which again no one will know. Im not expecting an answer and im also not accusing Raj of paying peanuts I’m simply asking a question

Nowt up with that. The trouble on here is some people imply they do know, when they don’t, which leads to confusion.

Well I’m sure things like more time at home would’ve helped? I’ll leave that up to you to work out how it could’ve been done but I’m sure there’s plenty of ways.

get the impression that neil byrne moving is more about some having an agenda with the club than the value of the player himself in next seasons squad.

You never said a truer word Mr A ….. and it’s all rather like the moans over an irrelevant friendly.

Just re-read the first page of panic at Byrne leaving and the feeding frenzy of recrimination….. fingers wagged, teeth gnashed, blame splashed about and it turns out his better half was taking him back to get married closer to home, he wanted away.
The Tranmere fans don’t sound happy with his signing. Ah well.

We have just got fees for 2 CB, Who were part of one of the worst defences in the league.
Why would anybody of sound mind expect them to suddenly become better this season.
To me that was very good business.

Only time will tell, but we may well have a far better pairing right now, with more to come.

Hartley will naturally want to surround himself with players he knows will perform to his standards, common sense in a new environment and players appear willing to follow him down from Scotland to play for him, a sign of mutual respect in my opinion which is no bad thing at all.

It would appear the Recruitment fella hasn’t had any involvement with the new signings not unless he sorts the salary, contract etc. out ?

I think Alex Lacey could be a Trotter signing. I think it’s clear PH has his own targets so maybe he’s been focusing on these while he assesses the ones Trotter has suggested? The fact Trotter is talked up in every interview to do with transfers is interesting though
