Remember when Darlo were a league team, you bought petrol from the chemists, silver birds in sky (planes) were new and toilets were the new thing (well it was in Darlo), but best of all was the pre season banter with them and other clubs. It was fun to trade insults and everyone could combine behind a common cause of mutual abuse and wit.
It never seems to happen much which is a shame as it unites the board, without it all that built up energy leads to infighting instead of having a laugh at some other saps

Aye it was good banter, well mostly. The rivalry occupied both sets of narks, especially PJ and stopped them looking inwards as seems to happen now.
Lot of irony now like when they used to refer to the Vic being a collection of bus shelters as against their great white elephant monstrosity.
How times have changed.

Apparently their’s is the longest bus shelter in Europe…Services 1,3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 13 and 16 stop there.
