Like him or not it’s impressive to stay up late, stand on stage, sing, and remember all the words - at 80 years old.

Apparently some people have been moaning on about him playing some new songs, but he didn’t do many and they need to enjoy the performance as a whole and stop whining on.

I’m not sure why Springsteen and Grohl turned up, this seemed pointless but still, it was a good bit of live music on TV.

Going by the average age of the audience, McCartney was in his own age and social grouping, so he should have been a perfect fit.

Well it is for someone catching him up in age who moans about getting home possibly only 15 minutes later for night matches after pop up roadworks going home. Mind you he pails into insignificance when you know there is a 74 year old trapeze artists there doing his stuff.

Thats the big shock for me. Thought it was something for pot smoking kids and ex hippies in VW camper vans.

I saw Leonard Cohen at Edinburgh and he did a good 2hr plus set. Mind he was only 72

They should get Slade. All four of them are still knocking about and they would “Bring The House Down”

How does the old song go…. ‘Old soldiers never die, they simply fade away’, no chance of you’re average ageing rock dinosaur doing that..
They just lure to perform Daaahling.
Diva’s, not what they used to be.

Leonard Cohen was still performing at 82, just 6 weeks before he died in 2016
