He looked really promising when he first broke through at Motherwell.

Hastie was incredible for Motherwell - will flourish at this level.

McPake im not getting excited about tbh - if he comes then fair enough - another attacking player but id love to see us bring some center mids in - wonder if there is any from Trotters scouting network - seems to be all PHs signings just now

??? Where is all this shite on this thread? There's accrington and Flying Hogans sharing a bit of levity, as far as I can see. Is it allowed?

I have that same feeling - Not sure how many where his when Rotherham got promoted but even if he picks us 1 or 2 out (from the League) id be happy. Again cant see him lasting the season - PH probs have his own scouting system setup sooner or later id hope

Nah, can't see anywhere that suggests I need to calm down. It all seems perfectly calm and reasonable.
Just wondered why you mentioned it on this thread. I could see on my first reading that Strachan wasn't mentioned.
Cheerio now.

I am a bit concerned tbh with the lack of signings and just hope that we dont end up with a team of ex Scottish league players.
I just have bad recollections of the team of Scots who Gordon Strachan assembled at the Boro."

Levity and wit used to be the defining characteristic of the Bunker - and I'm not talking about Mr. Monkeybutt's inexhaustible supply of old gags.

Then again, those were different times - in every respect.

Just like the old days when the Manager did the recruiting, similar when I worked, the fella in charge selected his squad then told Personal Dept. that’s who I want on the job although he forward the names to Personal who contacted you.

so far it seems that way doesnt it... id imagine PH is the type who needs to see and assess a player before he takes some computer analysis objective on the matter. Id imagine we see some trialists on the plane come monday - not just ones to make numbers up either

Pre puberty level sophistication…… in my time, 8 year olds laughing at every sketch in Monty Python and trying to be grown up, but clueless.
Or in other words, going along with the cool kids and pretending you even have a clue…when you definitely don’t.

yes, the trialists could be the ones who came up on the tippy tappy or have a youtube vid on them but hartley has never seen or heard of them.
