Molyneux was far and away our best attacker last season. There was nothing wrong with his work rate - he put in a shift every game, even when he was played out of position as a central striker. It's true he didn't win many headers in that role!

You see running, you see work rate, I like to see meaningful running, the two are different but opinions differ.

Meaningful running like his goal of the season out of nothing down at Harrogate? He couldn't do it every game but name me a winger in the lower leagues who ever could. I rate Molyneux better than Toure and as good as Thomas among recent Pools wingers. He doesn't have the tendency to petulance of those two so I'm sure he'll have a good career.

If he lives in Newcastle he can get a direct train to Doncaster and if its Newton Aycliffe he can get the same from Darlo.
He needs to minimise his carbon footprint.

[quote="Eiphos_3"] and a goal bonus of 10k every time -
just thinking the club could re negotiate carvers contract to put him on that plus 1k for every time he forces the keeper to make a decent save. plus the same with flapper where his payment is only made if he catches the ball in a crowded goal area. Only problem would be the court of human rights would get involved and the lack of money they,d earn would see pools being accused of modern day slavery.

If he gets the train to Doncaster to Newcastle or Darlo he’ll qualify for benefits with the cost of rail fares.

There is a snag, Mr Accy.
The terms I asked for were £5k per week rent, with £10k bonus for every bacon sandwich I made for him.
His agent said I was asking too much.

There is a left sided winger/forward who sunderland have just released from their U23 setup - Hartley Knows him too.
The mail had him going to Doncaster - looks like a former sunderland scholar has taken that place so may no longer be looked at - could he be our next Mols ? its the best we have had from Sunderland for a while.

Cieran Dunne
Hartley brought youngster Dunne on-loan to Falkirk where he made six appearances. The left-sided player has left the Stadium of Light this summer having not been offered a new deal. Pools' League Two rivals Doncaster Rovers are said to be keen on the 22-year-old.

Hilarious how every year the jackals and vultures are chuntering as they pick over the bones of the departed, the ‘departed’ who went for reasons apparently only they know, but are always portrayed as negative reasons and god forbid sometimes daft innocuous reasons beyond the clubs remit and the basic comprehension of some folk.
The constant self pitying outrage at the very idea of players going to pastures new ( everyone a star in their eyes, although the poverty of interest shown by other clubs has put that myth to bed and tucked it in) cuts to the core with some people.
Always looking backwards, never forwards, clinging to past possibilities that never came to anything and desperately fearful of anything new, any change and an inability to embrace an alternative future without their comfort blankets, as football, like life, moves remorselessly on.
I’m quietly looking forward to next season, it could be interesting, but then again I don’t expect 110% of football or much else.

in some ways you can understand fans getting upset at losing players but not now but once the squad is finalised. for years pools have released poor players to be replaced at the best by someone as poor. it will take awhile to erase the memories of not signing armstrong and oates fancying another club to be replaced by cullen, olomola and a bit later the legend fondop.
