But does the manager? Or does he have plans to redeploy players to new roles? Or does he think his right back is a bit more flexible and mightn’t even play as a right back?
Or maybe even he gets a chance to sign a player he knows who’s too good not to sign, who knows, but I never take too much motive of the labels now as positions and tactics are so fluid that the traditional labelling is irrelevant.

I think Sterry might find himself pushed a lot further forward with this signing, certainly has the technical ability to play as a more attacking player.

Tumilty can play up and down that wing as said in his interview - we may see him at RB - RWB - RW - RM... another versatile right sided player added to the squad - as seen last season... if we go on a cup run you need all the men you can get !

There is rumblings the 3rd signing will be today/tomorrow ... another from the Scottish league... Niang... the lad who got sent off after less than a minute against Celtic in the cup for Partick Thistle.

I recall Alex Ferguson recounting how at Aberdeen he asked a certain young Neale Cooper to take an opposition player out of the game from the kick off……he did, but as Ferguson said….not like that.

think if spike had said that to some of last seasons players they,d just ask the player to come with him for a meal after the game.
