could have been better for the over 65,s for me. not much of a saving unless you are intending to see every game and travel away especially if like me you prefer ifollow for mid week games. have not been at the vic for a mid week game since pre covid.

Our older generation of fans have had the biggest price increases the last few seasons.
Used to be 50% of Adult price at the age of 60.
Now about 70% at age of 65.
As for the Early Early Bird some top notch signings needed to get the sales going.
Not the usual we got an excellent budget then we bring in kids n non league shite.
Hopefully UTP.

Not only me that notices the great budget talk, to then be massively underwhelmed. You can tell the club this season are worried both raj and holbin have come out and said stick by us. So they know fans aren't happy at least, with what's taken place over the last few months. That to me is a bit of a start and sacking Lee is an excellent move to give fans some hope at least.

An excellent budget isn't releasing a full team and replacing them with 3 or 4 kids and a token gesture player from the football league and a crock though

Time will tell, however i think more than an odd few will hold off till the new manager is appointed and the types of signing are made.

Surely to God.
We not going to approach the Early Bird deadline without a manager or new signings.
And then have anutha excellent January budget rolled over to next Summer.
Major Surgery required a bit quicker than the NHS waiting list.

if there is some reluctance to buy these tickets then surely the club would do well to push back the early bird date if they are confident of the new manager who has a decent budget to spend. in the current climate of many fans watching all their pennies i doubt they,ll be in a rush to buy especially if underwhelming signings are made.

We had sold 500 in first week last season.

750 is quite good considering plenty are holding back until a manager is appointed.

Dont think the deadline day queues will reach the Raglan. Do well to reach the Rink End.
Surely an extension to end of June. sctatchinghead

I've bought my season tickets already so makes no difference personally - but to not extend given we have no manager and half a playing squad would be absurd.

Its perfectly reasonable for people to wait before buying, which it now seems approx 50% (or more) of current Season Ticket holders are doing.

Not to extend would reveal a glaring inability to see the bleeding obvious on the part of the club.
With no new manager in place and a lurking fear we may end up with some ‘less than inspiring’ replacement coming through the door, is more than enough to make me hold back till we see just what the state of play is at Pools.

extending the date would really be an admission that they are not getting it right on the most important part of a football club, what happens on the pitch. new seats etc are important only if they get the other things right regarding a manager and recruitment. whatever they do we,ll get a full page of reasons with a little business speak thrown in when a couple of lines would suffice.

I think they are pushing the early bird as much as possible, before they announce someone as exciting as Graeme Lee/Michael Nelson again.

snowy.."Not to extend would reveal a glaring inability to see the bleeding obvious on the part of the club."

as with jordan cook..the "bleeding obvious" seems to have miraculously escaped the attention of club officials yet again..becoming a habit..and meanwhile still no news on the future of the assistant bonehead..still lurking in the background..that smell is getting worse by the day...

https://www.hartlepoolunited.co.uk/news ... arly-bird/

"Chief Operating Officer, Stephen Hobin added: "Having well surpassed 2000 season tickets sold in the early bird window alone we are on track for another season of continued growth. From midnight tonight the prices will go up so make sure you take advantage today and be a part of the picture for 2022/23. Thank you for your continuous support."

As it looks very unlikely that HUFC will be extending the deadline, I decided to get mine, on the basis that
- I'll end up going to most of the games regardless so may as well get tix at the cheapest price;
- season 2022/23 can't be any worse than our last relegation season or all but one of Pools' seasons in the clodhoppers league. Though it can certainly be as bad - and might be if Raj & Co. don't pull their fingers out.

It seems I left it too late to get the same seat in the Mill House I've had for years, so I'm in the row behind and 2 seats further along. If the online seating plan is to be trusted Block D is pretty much sold out already.

Online booking worked a treat, so if nothing else Pools have got more efficient at taking money off their fans!

A season ticket saves any fannying about on match days and means first dibs at cup or play off tickets if it turns out to be a better than expected season. I'll be giving Hobin's membership scheme a swerve though - not interested in buying stuff from the club shop or any "exclusive events" that aren't a match day.

Madness not to extend the early bird.
With fuel prices as they are I've got to pick and choose which matches I attend.
Last season I attended two home games but bought all of the live streams.
Looks like that is going to be next seasons strategy as well.
It's much warmer on the couch these days.

Current seat holders have until July 1st to claim their current seat, so FH should have been able to re-book his.

The official site is pushing season tickets again, no doubt looking for the knock on effect from introducing the new management team. The sales of ST's stands at 2300 sold.

Not sure but guessing I would go for less than 3000.

a lot would have bought one on the back of promotion. once things have now settled down there is no back in the league hype the club can rely on. although with a good managerial appointments there is still no guarentee of having a good season. anyone though who does intend coming to the vast majority of league games without much travelling would be advised to buy one as they may struggle in winter to afford the match day ticket. cannot see me doing as many games as i did last season as with the present economic climate i doubt i,ll be able to afford it.

In think in the end it was more like 2,500 than 3,000 season tickets sold last season so numbers for this season have held up well.

Judging by the turn out and atmosphere at the last couple of home games Pools' support is rock solid at the minute. It'll be interesting to see if average attendances go much higher if the new regime gets off to a flying start or if 5,000-5,500 is about the ceiling apart from the odd game.

For sure the cost of living crisis isn't going to help, especially when heating bills rocket again after the October price hike.

Some article yesterday said we are now the most expensive in league 2, for season tickets after the early birds, not sure that's exactly correct but still to sell 2300 without any signings is a fantastic effort.

Found it in the Mirror:
https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football ... e-27237210

Now that the early bird offer is over it is true - Pools are £4 more than the next most expensive ST (Tranmere).

On the other hand, quite a few of those clubs have much higher prices for their best seats, so you've got to wonder how many of their season tickets are available at the lowest price and what the view is like.

And some clubs' prices reflect the deep pockets of their owners - you can have a season ticket at Salford for £180!

No getting away from the fact that £380 is a big ask for a lot of fans in a town like Hartlepool.

In the 19/20 season (the first null and void one) 3000+ ST'S were sold.

Despite an EFL promotion and hugely increased home attendances, we've never came close to that number since.

The early bird is nothing but a turn off to lower income people who budget for the second half of the year.

Yes I’m sure the club would like more S/T sale but as long as we can continue with attendances over 4500 they will be satisfied.

or looking at it another way where the early bird is the actual price and the later price is a extra one for those who missed the date. look on it like a parking fine when it goes up after a certain period of time if you do not pay.

its a case of supply and demand. if the club only sold a thousand of them they may reduce the prices. as for salford they,d have to give me 180 quid and a free ticket to make me get one and thats if i lived a stones throw from the ground.

I think the price is fair at £380.

The prices stayed in the article are misleading as other clubs have better deals for renewing season ticket holders. Other then that the people who should feel aggrieved are those on the terraces as we have a flat price for ours unlike some clubs.

But then again it’s your choice if you want to stand.

it is for me, but i suppose for some if they have that amount burning a hole in their pockets they can guarentee sitting next to the same people when they decide to turn up. for those who stand they just seem a waste of time anyway.

Fair price What u on about its a bargain with the 7 quality signings we brought in last week.
Big question is will this long drawn out excellent budget get to Hartley bfor September.

You were one of the few on here that called the whole thing out and received dogs abuse for the effort. Apparently Snowys Ratboy was going to 'train' me as well, ah the wonder of clever debate. Did you ever feel like a fuckwit .?

I guess you could say we have been shit for most of our existence, but the warning signs have been ringing loud with this guy in charge for two years.

No doubt when we're relegated or survived by skin of our teeth, raj will give some sort of apology, but at the same time blame everyone else. Umerah will go the journey and the same process of bullshit will start all over again.
