It would make sense for pools with their current budget (only going off Raj and Spikes previous media quotes on budgets). That we could and should be going after the better of the scunny / oldham players. See who is released and see what is what. Id already take 3 to 4 Oldham players including Dunn.

Its what a good old fan forum is about. Cant beat a bit of close season Football Manager fantasy shite.

But yeh the lad from Grimsby- where did they get him from. I seen he notched a hat trick. Problem with them sorts of players is they are pure journeyman. They have one good game to earn them a contract then become a Bloomfield or Muir and turn into absolute Fondops over nights. Can imagine we will see our fair share of them this summer unless we get someone like Mowbray through the door who wont mess
About and will spot a sausage a mile off.

Kyle Wooton being linked with Stockport today.

Id have him at Pools tbh. Big strong lad with goals in him. Never goes through much of a dry spell in terms of not notching over 15 goals a season over the last few years.
Albeit its NL level but i think hes got all the attributes for the EFL after seeing how poor some of the defenders are this season.

If any player is even being linked with Stockport you can forget about him coming here, that involves money and we appear to be a little shy with that when it comes to the first team.

Get the trade rated ones, bin the rest, and link them in with the App for an extra 10% off, before the end of May.

surely not - Their current midfield is league quality nm the players they are probably looking at signing - not sure Feaths would get a game there.

please do let us know where this rambling has come from ?

Think next week we find out if Mols and Timi sign on - Shelts still on the fence so im hearing

DC is a fan of his, so it wouldn't surprise me. However Stockport's financial clout should be able to attract better.

Featherstone will go for a payday at this stage in his career.
Upgrade needed on Shelton.
Timi wants £3000 a week - No way he's getting that at Pools.
Mols isnt as good as he thinks he is, still does basics wrong. Be interesting to see what he does.

Featherstone and Shelton can go for me.
Gav might talk Grimsby into taking Shelton, especially if they don't go up.
It could be good business to give Timi a decent wage, because if he continues to improve who knows what he'll be worth.
Mols can have a better deal for me but not too daft.
There is transfer money to be had in both of them.

Been told that Mols would stay if he got the same money as Bogle (whatever that is!)

Where £3,000 a week came from is beyond me…..Timi is good…… but not that good, he has a way to go still.
Mol’s has had a good season from the goal perspective, but his all round game needs to be upped to be honest. I worry that this may be a one off season on his part, but his full potential hasn’t been seen yet. We need someone who can get more out of him, it’s there to be got.

Mols might not be the finished article but he is way better than Bogle.

I had hoped we must have got Bogle on the cheap but if not, it looks even more like a bad signing.

They could be ‘masochistic fantasies’ …takes all sorts.

Mr Brush, he may well still go Pompey. A tweet was hastily deleted this morning by Bradford in the know citing that they would be announcing a centre back called Odusina very soon.

Given the uncertainty of the manager situation here - and potentially being inherited by a manager who then decides he doesn’t rate you - is enough alone to move on.

The strength of League 2 will be markedly better than last year, mark my words, we’re in trouble unless we get moving.

Timi to Bradford looks a solid one to be fair - heard it again this week from another source.

Mols on holiday just now and supposedly we have an offer on the table for him - but... there is interest still from Hearts and Derby and another L1 club.

Josh McPake is a strong rumour circulating just now (maybe now we have the Scottish duo in charge he maybe tempted).

also Cedwyn Scott... knew his name would be mentioned again... this i wouldnt be too excited about - lets see how he does in the NL next season first.

The McPake thing is a newspaper generated 'rumour' https://www.scottishdailyexpress.co.uk/ ... w-27161120

as opposed to what - social media for the others? There's been an offer on the table for Molyneux for months. An increased offer from Pools would be news.

I confidently predict that we'll have at least 1 new Jock in the squad by the beginning of the season - though for some reason Pools tend to do better with Irish lads.

or nothing in the case of louis laing who looked the part before kick off. not all people have the same frame so never discount the big boned lads. its funny about young players that fans want to see em being beefed up. if it happens and they go a bit too far they,ll be attacked as being unfit.

  I remember him coming out for our first game in the ‘Quicksand League’ against Dover, and we were impressed….. sadly, it soon dawned on us that appearances can be, er, deceptive. After that game he got no better and for some reason I associated his name with the Laing’s oil rig yard at Graythorp, because he had all the finesse of an oil rig on the pitch. In fact an oil rig was far more agile, aware and responsive.

even worse for me as i could never get that song from the tartan shite bay city rollers, shang a lang, out of my head once pools signed him. even worse is that its stuck permanently in my head and the full lyrics do not help.
