Give him another 13 minutes. Halifax have just pulled one back.

Beaten in the first round of the play-offs for the second time. 3 seasons going nowhere. He should be ready to aim higher.

Barrow then

This is getting silly now, we appear to be waiting for someone who may not come.
Madness.

im now under the illusion it wont be a single person from any of the Bookies lists - just like the surprise we got last time with Lee and Nels through the door.

Not sure what manager is going to come in and accept his assistant already there (bonehead 2) - id imagine him wanting his own backroom staff. Not sure what purpose Nelson is doing at the club just now.

makes me think just now it might be a Wild - waiting on the outcome of the Playoffs ... less than 24hrs after that and the club have made an update on the manager search telling us all will be revealed very soon

Club Statement on Twitter,
The club would like to update supporters on the ongoing search for a new manager. We are pleased to now have an exciting shortlist following our first stage of conversations and hope to make an announcement soon.

In other words, keep watching the space you've been watching for weeks.

Announcement before the end of May hopefully.

We have to wait.
Then get behind him.
Then hope he attracts decent players.
Then hope Raj agrees to pay them.
Then hope they gel.
Then get excited.
Then maybe get sad.
Then it might go tits up.
Then he might leave..or get pushed.
Then we start all over again.
Isn't it great being a football fan, supporting Pools.

I really hope we arnt singing to that tune come X-Mas - please please Football gods give us a full season with a decent manager and a nice double cup run again.

Also not hearing much around the Mols debacle either. Perhaps Derby and Hearts can do a pompey and leave him alone for us

This season was the best for cup runs Pools have had in 50 years watching them. Think there might be a bit more of a wait for another one like it. I'll be happy to settle for league success instead!

The league every time. The Cup is like a kid blowing bubbles, great fun, then pop and it’s gone. Whereas the league results banks every point you earn and rewards you at the end.
One’s like showbiz, the other’s the day job.

yes, league for me also. the only good thing about cup runs are that it gets extra fans inside for a game but they never hang around for the long league haul. you can stake your life on it now that pools will not win the FA or league cups but no one can predict our final league position.

I think when i say good cup runs again - i dont envisage us at all to get the Semis again of the League cup, if anything it messed up our finish in the league but was a nice to have been back in the league - the Carabou cup is something also just a nuisance as lets be real never going to even get near the semis with that thing. Then a suppose for me... another good FA cup run would be nice, just to get the day out again against a decent prem side. Financially these little runs will keep us well afloat over the next few seasons then who knows what might happen.
