Yes id say we could get away with Killip as he isn’t completely incompetent. He did have a handful of good games last season. Lets just hope the defence built infront of him resembles that of a 90s Milan setup.

Forwards and goal scoring midfielders are something we lacked all last season. It has to be something we nail down straight away ! Im sure the new manager will address this as soon as he takes his first training session.

We don't know he was cheap but it's very unlikely he was on great wages playing for a braintree. They are hardly a man United or even a Stockport. We don't know what Dave Challinor is on at Stockport but I think it's fair to say it's a hell of a lot more than he was here.

Challinor will be on more, but we aren’t owned by zillionaires.

if the club rate a player on the least amount of money he will take then do not expect much next season.

Stelling, in his season review with Chandy, full of praise for Killip. Nobody at the club seems to be able to see what the fans see. Looks like we're stuck with him.

Does seem to be the party line Mr D from the club.
If they’re so full of praise for him, I wonder if he organises the Xmas do, the nights out, the sweepstake and delivers fast food, we need to know what makes him apparently indispensable………

agreed with everything jeff said..apart from flapper..having said that from what he said jeff obviously at some point must have had some reservations himself .. he said last season flapper "grew into the player everyone hoped he would be"...but sorry jeff cant see that at all ...still has major fundamental flaws to his game..biggest is he doesn't command his six yard box and cant deal with crosses...spotted no change there personally at all last season...hes like a striker who is a rubbish finisher ...or a centre half who cant head a ball..if he remains our number one next season he will continue to cost us no doubt about it..

I can only assume what he’s improved at is dancing lessons or rally driving because it ain’t goalkeeping.
But, ho hum, the ‘professionals’ have decreed he is the finished product …… who apparently still needs some improvement sctatchinghead

There isnt a goalie in the world who doesn't need to improve, they all drop clangers.
Go on you tube and watch them, they are all at it.

A ‘clanger’ can happen to the best of keepers, but an inability to command your box and deal with crosses is not a ‘clanger’ it’s a basic goalkeeping requirement., which we are told by the ‘professionals’ is ‘improving’… we’ll see.

Thought you might say that.
There is only one way to find out if he can improve.
But we may sign a better goalie and he may never have the chance to show us.

But we have bigger worries. Our forward line needs to improve just to reach the level of rubbish.
Killip is a master of his trade compared to some of the forwards we have.
And what about our centre halves who are very good players but don't win enough headers in either box.
Than goodness for Gary Liddle.

Let's hope for good signings with a bloody manager for starters.

..bad combination that..a flapper that cant deal with crosses..and central defenders who cant win headers..but tell you what..lets not release anyone and see if we can improve them all ?...you sound like a right clanger yourself tbh pal..

He didn't say. I'll ask him next time we're having a pint but I would imagine he has bought the live streamed ones like some other exiles have done. He also probably has access to the videos as well so I don't reckon he'll be missing much. Come to think of it he is probably in a position to get a recording of every match if he was so inclined. With a facility to playback, slow down etc he is in a position to see more than those who actually attend if you think about it.
You could e mail him via the club and you just might get a reply.
Please let us know if you are successful in getting an answer.

That could be the catch all excuse for every bad player you sign. Leave him alone, he might get better. NO, shape up or ship out, we’re a football club not a rehabilitation unit for the might get better’s

But we have bigger worries. Our forward line needs to improve just to reach the level of rubbish.
They are rubbish, but that doesn’t change Killips’s position

Killip is a master of his trade compared to some of the forwards we have.

Than goodness for Gary Liddle.
Is this a wind up? Killip is alleged to be a keeper and our ‘centre halves’ are defenders, and……?
Liddle is past it, but doubtless you’d hang onto him just in case….I wouldn’t.

Let's hope for good signings with a bloody manager for starters.
Where would the new manager put new signings as you’d like to fill every empty space with improving players you want to hang onto

..maybe....lets keep flapper another three years to see if he improves?.....just think how bad we'd feel if we released him and another club made a decent stopper out of him?...and anyway the rest of the team is shite and even worse than him so we need to get our priorities right?...wtf...a clanger.. a gumby...or a very poor wind up merchant...

Should we lay down Killip 22 in a dark cellar and check on him in three years time and check for improvement..keeper or improving wine…..?

Snowy I wish you would read the posts and answer them accordingly instead of seeing what you want to see then being argumentative for the sake of it. Some of your posts are very funny but the content is severely lacking and you leave no room for debate cos you just want to slag people's opinions off constantly.
Like pathetic keyboard bullies. Talk about glass half empty, your glasses bottoms have fell out.

You and poolie 1 are like them 2 old gits off the muppet show and you know how far out of date they are.
Thet were not a pain in the backside like you two.
No wonder there's hardly anyone posting on here. I have been back for 2 weeks and giving up already.

he will not be in charge of food deliveries and he,d drop them. funny how there is never another club looking at him and their professionals seem to agree with us. just watch the highlights of the EFL and you see keepers errors every week. think its a case of the devil you know with the party line rather than how he is rated across the leagues.

And under the statue we can have a plaque with the classic words of ‘Medium’ inscribed underneath………
’KILLIP IS A MASTER OF HIS TRADE COMPARED TO SOME OF THE FORWARDS WE HAVE.’
It makes absoluelty no sense whatsoever, especially as our forwards don’t play in goal, but they are his words, so confusion should be expected. Oh dear.

Boro are releasing a few of their keepers - there is the lad we poached at Bradford and also Flinders. If you take a look at alot of the L2 teams a few of their No2s are also going the journey - some decent names i noticed too. Albeit a few older boys but they would do a job still. I have fingers crossed we still have plenty of time to bring in another GK once the new manager comes in

Zach Hemming spent the season on loan at Kilmarnock, I believe he won player of the season, might be a decent signing if Boro release him.

Yes - Hemming is a great shout. Boro’ main priority seems
To be bringing in a new number one aswell. Looks like they want the Preston keeper who was on loan from Leicester.
