I've just passed a car sales pitch in Stoke.

They have a big neon sign outside saying "CARS FOR SALE" and absolutely seriously, the first C on the sign is not working.

Made me chuckle anyway.

Remember turning up one evening at Morrison’s next to Pools (and it had to be done on purpose) The big yellow letters spelt out MORONS with the R I &S isolated.

actually a far better name than calling it robins bargain store when it isn,t or people with no imagination calling their chippy Mr.Chips or some fish name.

The sign with a neon on the Hartlepool civic centre says "Whats happening Hartlepool"
The neon is blank and has been for a least a couple or years.

When I was a kid, it would have been easy to have thought the Powlett pub was called the Owlett pub as the ‘P’ seemed to be always missing.
