Two games to go and one away to Halifax who need a win for a good position in the playoffs. Stockport’s current form is not too good to put it kindly.

Oh no :angry-screaming: One my sons told me it was away…..He’s getting grounded, mind you it could be tricky as he’s turned 40
That said, Halifax are after points too, so a boom time for gentle toilet paper suppliers.

Generally I think Sticky prefer playing away as their "fans" tend to get on their back if things aren't going too well at home.

Has DC had a word with Raj about returning yet?

If he fails he’ll have the Stockport fans behind him, unless he can shake them off at the M6.

Would be nice for Torquay to beat them let's be honest though surely they can't fuck it up completely? Or can they?

I can see them bottling it. Wrexham are the better team
And its starting to show. If anyone deserves it , its the sheep lovers.

I cant bare to go back to Stockport next season. There will be trouble and it will be an aweful day. Can only imagine they will sign some very good players should they come up too. Probs have a better recruitment in the summer than us regardless anyways.

Four points from 2 home games and they are defo up.
If Wrexham lose one point will be enough for them.

According to one Stockport fan their manager has 'lost the plot'.

If it was Pools we’d be saying the same probably….interesting times for Stockport…and Challinor.

The problem for them is that they will go into the play offs in poor form. We all know from experience that its usually the form team that wins through irrespective of final league positions. Happy to see Wrexham back though, their fans have put up with that league for long enough..

Fully expecting Stockport to still win the league n Wrexham to go up via the play offs.

having looked at the table and fixtures you'd expect them to beat Halifax next week but Torquay midweek is a potential banana skin. There again so is D&R for Wrexham. Interesting to watch but I suspect you're probably right.

Torquay thankfully have hit a little form and are still a hard team to beat.

Halifax have it all to play for and will want the points on the board for that Semi final position.

Wrexham have the wind in their sales now - cant see the daggers getting out from that game. Mullen is starting to notch weekly and finding that least season form he had. Hope Wrexham come up - they deserve it.

well my lad says they are doomed now. says they have been shit for weeks now and were lucky to win at chesterfield. expects a repeat of last season where they,ll lose at home in the play off semi. said he,d swap places with any pools fan now and doesn,t understand what all our moaning is about.

They were terrible against Chesterfield, but let's be realistic they might only need 1 point at home as Wrexham are quite shaky away and have a right tough game at Dagenham. If by miracles they do mess up they then play at home in a semi final against a much weaker side.

I suggest you take him to the doctors if he wants to swap places at the minute though, our team is dreadful at the minute with 2 forwards who don't look like scoring a goal and our better players possibly leaving.

If and it's a big if Stockport do mess up then yeah we will still be in a better position than them.

Managed to catch some of the Solihull highlights from a few previous games - i believe they are the dark horses. Suddenly got that end of season form all team need to be cementing their place in the playoffs (as we did) - then take that form into the playoffs (as we did) . Never know with a team like that - most wont see them as being faves outside the top 2 play off positions but i bet they give it a damn good go.

In his eyes they are still non league and pools are a league club that makes him wanting to swap places. He must be top of their list of hating non league with a passion and everything it stands for. Just think of having a third of your life supporting a non league club when you have seen em beat man.city home and away, have a couple of current internationals in your squad and moan about an away draw at say wolves.

I reckon In a few hours time he might have a change of heart. They will no doubt beat Torquay tonight and if they score a few, will probobly be back in the football league barring a total disaster saturday

I certainly wouldn't mind having their team and manager at present compared to what we have witnessed last 3 months.

not just them but a number of others in that division. A league that surely have more haves and have nots than any other in the country including the premier league. Some with 5 figure and near 5 figure crowds, others lucky to get 1,000. Six figure signings that even salford and harrogate would struggle to pay, but at the end of the day they will not play in the league cup or papa johns but a trophy with teams getting 500 on a good day through the gates.

Torquay have only conceded 6 goals in their last 10 games so squeaky bum time for both Sticky & Wrexham tonight.

Well they conceeded another last night. a cracking game that could have ended with more stockport goals. honestly it was far better than the shit pools have served up since the rotherham game and i,d hate to see how pools would fare against them at the moment.

The exciting free flowing football Challinor had us playing is long gone now. How we get that back god knows, decent players would have to be signed for that to happen and just as important a decent manager. I dread to think what manager we pull out of the hat this time. Raj and co are probobly looking round the pound shop as we speak looking for a bargain.

The exciting free flowing football went when Oates and Armstrong left, it was never ever here this season even under Challinor because they weren’t here.

on the whole we did with sod all up front till the rot set in after the rotherham game. in fact we put in a few decent away performances where we were the better side but mistakes cost us in the end. that made the games after that defeat being more annoying as they were not the true way the team played for the whole season.

I detested the bloke for the way he left us and no one will ever convince me otherwise HOWEVER, you have to admire the way he pulled that over financed but poorly performing bunch of misfits into a team. So, congratulations, you’ve proved yourself again as a great manager and deserve to be promoted.

DC won't go to Blackpool and he won't return to the NL any time soon. He said himself that he's 'completed it' now having got a champions medal.

I could see him being tempted by Bolton if it was a possibility but not sure they'd look at such an unproven manager at FL level. I fully expect him to leave at some point and will wish him well. He's achieved the most difficult step.

There certainly won't be any flag burning when he inevitably leaves.
