Good luck to the lad, he's better than league two.

Players come, and players go,
We’re here for life, we’re the fans y’know.

Best of luck and thanks for those goals, every player is just passing through any club on a journey, you enjoy them while they’re here.
Nice if he lingered a bit linger though, but that’s life.
My first disappointment was Terry Bell leaving fo Reading, but I got over it

As much as I'd like Molyneux to stay, if he, or any other of our players leaves for a higher division then I'll wish them all the best. Obviously I'd rather they left with a fat transfer fee winging our way. I think we'd be due some compensation for Timi given his age.

If this is right I hope they've sorted their pitch out from the ploughed field they've been playing on. He'll find it harder to play his game than on the surface at the Vic'.

Very best of luck to Mols if he's going to a Championship club - rather than making a sideways move to another League 2 club that is all about his pay packet.

Where has this source of information come from ? ... I knew he wasnt signing a new contract with us but wasnt sure where he was off. Good that hes got his move to the Championship, is it his level ? Im on the fence with how he will manage but hes been outstanding for us this season. Given the circumstances and playing out of position hes given it his all and won us a fair few games with that wand of a left foot. Im sure he will be twice the player he is now in a few years time playing at that level. good luck to the lad

I can't see him being more than an impact sub in the Championship. Good luck if he goes, best of luck if he stays.

totally agree. it shows he has ambition on the pitch and not just at the bank. if he does not come off there he.ll be in a better position to get another decent move after them.

depending on who they release and sign - he actually has a good statement to be in the starting 11 - they dont really have anyone like him just now and i think its something alot of teams are now looking for.. that attacking winger with a good shot.

Derby, Barnsley, Portsmouth and Hearts all in for him when his Pools contract is up, according to a report today.

2 relegated sides and 2 other big names. be more convinced of the move if it were 4 lesser known clubs in div.1 or scotland.

Depends if he breaks into the first team or just a squad player/ bench warmer. There’s lot to be said for regular first team football, skills atrophy on the bench.

Think Derby and Pompey are the front runners to get him. Imagine Derby will be looking at cheaper options. This makes sense - is good enough for L1 and id imagine they will be having a decent clear out themselves wages wise.

Looking more likely that Mols is off to Derby just now

Very poor contract planning from the club. Shouldn't be letting players leave for free. Transfer fees can keep clubs going for years.

The only way to ensure you get a return is if you give every player a long contract which could also be millstone around any clubs neck. Trouble is spotting those players is never clear cut. He was in and out before this season so a longer contract was not practical.
But if he had, would anyone have come in with a bid….?

Fair one but I still feel there is room to forward think and to speculate a bit more in this area. Potentially big rewards. There are other clubs who are great at it. It could be us.

I'd pick Derby, once they have a new owner confirmed and Ronney is staying on....

Not disagreeing with you Mr Imp, it wouldn’t hurt to be aware of key players performances performing regularly to be tied down.
Just thought Mols, this season apart, has been a bit irregular and difficult to predict/anticipate as a player in this particular case ….. but your general point is sensible.

Sure Mols had a few injury problems in 20/21 season.
But shown his full potential when fully fit.
A bit of gym work still required to eventually become a decent Championship Player.
Shame hes goin on a free like.

Derby doesn't look like a good destination. Another buy out deal fell throughgh, still not allowed to sign anyone and only 5 players on the books.

We are one of a few who have offered him terms. The saga will conclude soon…
