Definitely pushed. I’ve just read his wife’s comments. They were not expecting it at all. She was very respectful to the club and fans still though.

A game of two halves

Well what a bleeding day. I’m just home now unpacking the 2nd half of today.
The day started well enough, breakfast (shake on the run ) kids to school, house tidied, dog walked & relax.

Woke up saw the sunshine & thought let’s have it. Invited to Hartlepool Town Hall to watch a wonderful dance school perform a show this evening . What a performance we witnessed. The costumes, production, performances were really high standard & myself, Mam & Hadley were enjoying a lovely night. Although I was itching to get home to see wor Baz after jst recieving the crap news! G no longer has a job! Football I swear to you it brings so much joy, such highs but man the lows are way LOWWW.

So I’m sure everyone’s read all about it G has been let go from HUFC. Yea we are as shocked as the next person. I should have known things were going too well for us & just as I dared to believe the tides were turning for us boom have that - your done . We understood the assignment I was pretty confident G had done what was needed. Kept the team up, had 2 cracking cup runs. Reignited the passion & belief of the fans we were All in full family. And just like that you’re all out.

So what next for us Lees. We’ve gone from thinking of holidays & summer fun to WTF just happened. Now I know I have a broken brain but it’s mind blowing! Sure this shit happens all the time in Football but give a man a chance.

I’m jaded tonight. Baz is reflective but as positive as ever & will only ever look back on his time at Pools with a warm nostalgia & that’s thanks to the absolutely fantastic times he’s had there over the years, the support of some of the best fans in football & his first opportunity (albeit short) as a professional player & manager .

So farewell HUFC, good luck in your endeavours you will always have the love & support of The Lees

She's putting a brave face on it. Graeme Lee took a gamble on his next career move and it didn't work out - God only knows where that leaves him in terms of future prospects of gainful employment. Those 5 grand a month medical bills won't wait long for an answer.

I think Lee will be back with the Boro - for him i hope its a quick turnaround into employment - wish him well.

well he cannot be blamed for trying to better himself and if he left them in a positive manner there is no reason why that could not happen or another similar vacency comes up.

Thought that question by snowy needed asking. Have to say what a classy lady his wife is , all her problems health wise and she sends a classy note to the Pools fans. I would like on behalf of all true Pools fans to wish you and your family the best wishes for the future.

The next manager we get needs to be given enough money to compete with the majority of the club's in this league, it was a suicidal job to take for lee with raj at the helm, I think even I said he wouldn't see out the season, I'm shocked he has gone, but if you can't motivate, then all the money in the world means nowt.

Really nice guy, going through terrible times with his wife, I'm just glad the fans didn't turn on him, which would of happened next season.

Like I said earlier, it doesn’t sound like the break has been acrimonious, but time will tell.

Raj did him a favour - he seen it was turning sour with us fans - like you say we would have been calling for his head after 2 defeats next season
