Of the players that we have in the current squad, which ones would people actually want us to keep? Personally feel there’s quite a few players who are replaceable and there will be many others at this level as good as them. I’ve given my opinion on the players out of contract as far as I’m aware:

Out of contract:
Killip - keep as backup
Boyce - release
Odusina - keep
Liddle - keep (backup/experienced senior pro for the squad)
Ogle - release
Ferguson - keep
ZFA - release
Shelton - release
Smith - release
McDonald - release
Molyneux - keep
Grey - keep
Cook - release
Olomola - release

Contracted
Strerry
Byrne
Featherstone
Crawford
Bogle
Carver (I assume)

Loanees
Bilokapic - return
Hull - could be worth signing
Fletcher - return
White - return
Morris - sign permanently

That’s some fantasy….your first choice and final choice must have clouded your judgement.

See Liddle’s in the Mail touting for a new contract. I’d be more inclined to give Thora Hird one.

plus a year older and new injuries to find. Well morris needs somebody to keep him company in the treatment room. Surely our management team have a mate who could come in as assistant physio as he,ll be needed.

If as is probable, Ferguson, Odusini and Molyneux go plus the loanees return to their clubs and surely we can’t give Smith and Cook contracts, it will mean we will have to sign at least 10 players to be at todays level. Then of course there are other players to consider such as Olamola,Zara and Ogle. The mind ‘bogles’ at what is going to happen.

Out of contract:
Killip - DONT OFFER NEW CONTRACT
Boyce - OFFER NEW (KEEP THE YOUTH)
Odusina - OFFER NEW
Liddle - keep (backup/experienced senior pro for the squad) - AGREE
Ogle - OFFER NEW CONTRACT - GOOD BACKUP
Ferguson - OFFER NEW
ZFA - EFFECTIVELY SOLD TO STOCKPORT
Shelton - release - AGREE
Smith - release - AGREE
McDonald - release - AGREE
Molyneux - OFFER NEW CONTRACT AT ALL COSTS !
Grey - OFFER NEW
Cook - release - AGREE
Olomola - release - AGREE

Contracted
Strerry
Byrne
Featherstone
Crawford
Bogle
Carver (I assume) - SEND OUT ON LOAN

Loanees
Bilokapic - return
Hull - could be worth signing
Fletcher - return
White - return
Morris - sign permanently - AGREE BUT HAS TO PASS A FITNESS TEST

If Ferguson does leave for pastures new - The No1 LB Id only wish we could sign would be Borehamwoods record transfer Jacob Mendy - absolutely solid against a very good Stockport side at weekend - looked fit and athletic, carried the ball well and had pace. Suited for L2 - im assuming he will have his admirers as hes been outstanding for them this season by all reports too.

I maybe should of worded that as - pass an intensive fitness test and maybe pay as you play basis - wont happen as we all know hes on the ' job for the boro boys' rota and seems to have all but agreed his move. Cant see Burton wanting him back tbh.

Maybe Morris and Liddle could be made into one ‘cut n shut’ player by taking the best bits off each one. Just a thought.

I’m hesitant to write this but I heard we have a physio in from a certain club down the road who is helping out til we get a new one in full time. We offered Buster the job again but he turned it down. All rumours but you will love the Boro link. Oops I gave the name of the club away.

I don’t know if he has gone. He has according to the rumour but most rumours are false anyway. His Linkedin still has him working at Pools so rumour is probably false but we’ll find out in the Summer.

He’s like an expensive but notoriously unreliable Italian sports car, promising, but you just know it’ll spend most of it’s time over the inspection pit and be incapable of use as a regular performer.

tfp.."I see that Trevor Carson has been released by Morecambe..."

well spotted....would have him back no question...and i like the straight talking of morecambes manager ..quick and no messing about as soon as the seasons over. ..wonder if we'll get the same?

"Manager Derek Adams said: “Today we offered three players new contracts and have taken the option up on our young goalkeeper.
“We have 14 players still under contract for next season, but we have made a decision to make some of them available to possibly find a new Club if the right opportunity comes along.
“We have decided not to offer five players new terms and wish them well at their new Clubs.
“We had four players on-loan and they will return to their parent clubs after successful loan spells at Morecambe Football Club.”
We would like to place on record our thanks to all departing players for their efforts during their time with the Club and wish them the very best in their future endeavours."

According to that article, Carson was only there on loan so he hasn't been released by Morecambe but simply returned to his parent club, therefore could be going back on loan again or even transferred permanently to them.

you see the opposition come out and look at the lad they have in the sticks. pools come out and look at killip who has no simarlarity to any whatsoever. like a copper ditching his german shepherd for a poodle on night duty.

Clearly not enough.
New manager needs to be a magician or have a degree in Turdpolishing.
