Flappering with intent.
Reckless flappering.
Flappering without due care and attention.
Flappering without insurance.
Flappering with only a provisional Flappering licence.
Flappering without a valid goalkeepers MOT.

We seem to be on our way to losing to the worst team in the Football League. I guess few of us are surprised. What a fookin horrible way of ending what was a promising season. I predict Colchester will walk over us next week at the Vic just to put the icing on the cake of siht.

Think the “you’re going down” chants aren’t great if I’m honest. We’ve been there and it’s fucking horrible. Be better to stick to supporting our own team imo.

We drew  ….. a penalty to boot, missed plenty of opportunities, the way it was going be grateful to the Scunthorpe fans for disrupting the match and knocking Scunthorpe out of their stride, slagging their centre forward off so badly Keith Hill had to take him off.
Aye we got a second rate draw.

Im currently watching Stockport get beat off Borehamwood, both teams would comfortably put 3/4 past this Pools team. We really need to shape up next season. We shouldnt be going out there with this nonchallant attitude with one eye on the beach. Yes we had more possession but dear me could of been alot lot worse. We are shite and it showed today. Need Lee and Nels out before they fecking ruin the summer and what cash we have to waste ! Worrying times ahead

Some say we made loads of chances, but if you don’t take them, you get into an habit of being sloppy and there’s no points for ‘what might have beens’ and ‘if only’. Their seventeen year old keeper wasn’t really troubled.

The result confirms what the last dozen or so games have told us: we are currently on a par with relegation teams. Raj must spend to keep us in the EFL!

Trouble is it won’t be Raj spending it, it’ll be our ‘manager’, and that’s the worrying part.

Lee's transfer dealings have been disastrous, we have a far more weaker and poorer team than before the transfer window.

Was a good day out good atmosphere.
Pools on the pitch we have to get ruthless players in and it was so evident today allways doing 10 passers more than we have to.
Corners as usual not a chance of even winning a header never mind scoring.
Anyway enjoyed the day good season overall better than i expected so happy with that.

P.S our finishing was shocking.

It may have been a good day out socially, but there’s no points in that.
We got a second rate draw against a team who habitually lost all season and could have won if their own fans hadn’t fucked things up for them by their idiot reaction. This is a team with teenagers as young as 16 playing and a keeper 17, in fact they probably performed more professionally than we did.

I was rather Hopeing spend to get promotion.
Show a tad of ambition.
Major survery required this summer to retain this seasons brilliant support.

Totally agree. They are a club we have had no bother with over the years, just run of the mill opponents. Even if it had been say darlo or carlisle it would not be acceptable and with an unknown future next season its better to keep our gobs shut as its more likely to be us getting stick than us singing songs about going up.

but pools will have more possesion of the ball and play more 5 yard sideways passes in their own half with less penatration than a 101 year old bloke coming home after a night on the piss.

We are lucky that going cheap didn't send us back down straight away. We did remarkably well for 2/3 rds of the season. We go into this summer way weaker than last season, raj, Lee and Nelson have made an incredible mess of what was a really good team from 12 months back.

Just watched the highlights and the conclusions I arrived at were we should have won that game, a sloppy pass gifted them a goal and we definitely need more fire power both in attack and midfield.
Sort out the obvious shortcomings and we're good to go next season. Don't sort them out and we'll struggle.
Once again the fans turned up and they deserve better than what they have had to put up with recently. ST sales will let us know whether they are staying onside. We have to get our recruitment and retention spot on, that is crucial.

The income gained this season should easily buy replacements of equal or better quality. The problem could be the manager's ability to recognise the type of player needed to perform well in the fourth tier.

When you say buy how much do you think we should pay? £20 - 50K you get a Carver or Bogle. Now I can’t see Pools paying £100K or more so we have to look at free’s on big wages if you want decent players.

Think with hindsight(a good thing) we should of signed Bogle on loan to end of season with the option to buy if he measured up which unfortunately he has not. Forget Morris too injury prone. We should of played the loan keeper instead of Killip otherwise what was the polnt of having him? Yesterday we could only draw with a team already relegated who had 6/7 teenagers in the team, with a 17 year keeper who was never really put under any pressure. I think we should lay off the new recruitment guy and see what he comes up with. I think we should have had an older head as Lees assistant.

has chandy begun some sort of damage limitation exercise now with boneheads interviews ?....pretty clumsy attempt at editing if he has from 01.12...never seen that before...bonehead cut off in his prime there if you ask me...is chandy thinking...lets cut here and forget questioning you about your analysis of the game ....and why we were unable to beat scunnys youth team....which is obviously a waste of my time yours and everyone elses...so here's the tried and tested easy one ...how about the fans behind the goal..what did you make of them... ??

..and thought for today is..."decision making in the final third"..yeah....i know we've had it before...

When the going gets tough……. change course to safer waters.
Analysing what went wrong (again) results in a post match interview with the spirit of the late Stanley Unwin who takes over Lee’s thinking.
So why not lay the praise on the travelling Amy with a trowel, can’t possibly go wrong and everyone feels good and avoids those incoherent mumblings about the team.
If post match interviews are going to be about buttering up the supporters, don’t bother.
If you want experience the full post match interview go to You tube and find Stanley Unwin interviews Bill an Ben, uncanny resemblance.

o the thought of actually having a team out there where a manager would stay well clear of pitching any 17 year old against. pools the soft underbelly of the league are a different proposition. did not go, but imagine those scunny kids put a shift in as it could be their one and only league appearance and their last.

Think it could be more of a case of the managers inability to mould players into a team rather than signing lads and getting 10 players out there who can play but are round pegs in square holes. A few present pools players would walk in to other div.2 clubs, but individually those teams we do not beat seem to have quite ordinary players in the side. The difference is that they are a team that compliment each other unlike pools show only when they are winning. One thing about the present situation is that more or less everyone is singing from the same hymn book which makes a change.

compare and contrast.....from scunny os site... keith hill....no stanley unwin...talks a lot of sense....a proper manager like...

"Nevertheless, there was plenty to be encouraged by for Hill from his young side.

"The boss told iFollow Iron: "I was really encouraged by the performance, bravery, commitment and young energy, and also the footballing intelligence.

"The young players are going to make mistakes but you forgive them until they start making good automatic footballing decisions, and they were nearly there today.

"It was a good representation of what I expect from a team in and out of possession, and it was really pleasing.

"They did the club and me proud. It's been a very difficult season. As I've previously said, your darkest hour is just before dawn. We're trying to build an infrastructure with a homegrown philosophy. It's a way of servicing the football club without having to spend millions and millions. It's something I want to do, something I enjoy doing and there are rich rewards for the players, their families, myself as a coach and the senior players as well."

Goalkeeper Owen Foster, at the age of 17, made his professional debut after signing professional terms earlier this month a year into his scholarship with the academy.

Hill added: "It was a great moment for him. He's an unbelievable character with a brilliant personality. I've met his parents again today. He's just so humble and such a good kid. He must have had a great upbringing. He's calm and composed on the pitch. I've said it to the staff and I'll say it to you now, he'll play for England. There's no question in my mind about that.

"He's deserved his opportunity and kept plugging away, but he was always willing and able. It's a privilege to work with people like him.

"With respect to man of the match, I thought he was brilliant but I personally felt Ethan Young was my man of the match, but we all have different opinions of the way the game went. The transition Ethan is making is quite incredible.

"He's growing game-by-game. It's been a harsh introduction for the young boys, and harsh for him to be playing left-back against some of the opposition he's played, but he's got great mobility, a good footballing brain, wants to learn, absorb knowledge and express himself on the football pitch. He doesn't hide on the football pitch, but I felt he was outstanding alongside Ryan Delaney at centre-back today, who was also outstanding."

Hill concluded: "In the situation we find ourselves in, there are little wins. I'm really proud of the players progressively over a period of time and how they've taken to what I want to achieve. The productive road is very long. The progress continues, such as the amount of touches they should be having on a daily basis of the ball and the science of understanding the opposition and not just where your team-mates are. They have to own the ball and I want every player to be comfortable in and out of possession."

Jack Moore-Billam missed out after illness in the week, while Hill also confirmed loanee Hayden Hackney has returned to parent club Middlesbrough.

See much more from Keith Hill on iFollow Iron."

Well i for one would be quite happy with Keith Hill in charge if we cannot get sean dyche. If he did fail at least we cannot say it was lack of managerial experiance or old age like dick dosh that caused it. Know some will say he did not make that much of a difference to them and took em down, but so would merlin the magician and his assistant superman.

Agree, I’d have Hill here like a shot. He was put in an impossible situation but stuck with the club and made the best of it. He was never going to work miracles there, but the task was like being appointed safety officer on the Titanic….. after the iceberg struck.

Our safety officers would either be kept out of public view to stop panic around even on departure by their facial expressions. Thats if they hadn,t been transferred to the good ship lollipop beforehand.
