That is a nice touch and very thoughtful of the club.

A truly nice gesture from Scunny. Just wish that somebody southern would have gone down instead of them.

Sadly, it’s turning into a memorial for their league status.

It’s always sad when established clubs of long standing like Scunthorpe drop out of the league.
I look at those mostly southern clubs who’ve came in and they picture up a vision of twee blandness, like the places they are. Christ I even regard Cambridge as non league big elbowed gobshites like Wigan.
I also feel sorry for Oldham fans, an established team let down badly by it’s owners. Time it was three down and three up as the Quicksand League is effectively Division 3

the only new team in my life of watching the game i have embraced into the league has been peterborough and even they were at the expense of gateshead. each one after them have felt more non league than the other with only a big bank balance at the outset without debt has kept them there. biggest surprise is how fleetwood get ignored when talking about tinpot teams. build a new ground with a maximum capacity of just over 5,000. thats real future ambition for you.

Fleetwood take second fiddle to sucking a fisherman’s friend, a bit much when a bronchial lozenge tablet has an higher profile than the local football club.
Funny though, they rose without trace, just sort of popped up like a second rate Jack in the Box.

div.1 next season will have forest green v fleetwood on the list of fixtures. the national league north will most likely have york v bradford park avenue. know which game would interest me the most and its not the first one. knoic now if i could afford to come to the vic every game i,d still miss the crawley, stevenage, salford ones and only go the the FC Bettys, games as its localish.
