Looks like a carpet, as opposed to that beach they used to play on. Played into our hands I reckon.

No, the rugby team still play there. I asked a fellow Poolie at the game about the pitch and he said it was a hybrid of grass and synthetic, common where a ground is shared by the two sports, like Bristol City/Bristol Bears. A quick internet search suggested most premiership pitches are hybrids.

It looked like it was a carpet, no grass is that perfectly manicured.
