No good people putting the emphasis on Bogle with what if’s, it’s football and over the past few weeks he’s been magnificent for us and owes us nothing. Games are not lost on a single incident, it never works out like that.
We lost because of timid refereeing and coming up against a typical Rotherham side.
There’s always tomorrow.

Can I just say I thought your team were brilliant last night. Maddeley ex-PL ref was a disgrace, should have been 1 definate red and possibly another. I know it’s difficult atm but take the Positives, Rotherham most definitely know they were in a game, 2 good goals and a couple on convertible chances.
Enjoy the rest of the season and promotion beckons next year, unless you put in a late run for the play offs.
Take care everyone

Are there any video clips of the two potential sending off incidents available? They aren't in the two minute highlights reel, understandable I suppose with four goals, lots of other chances and penalties.

think their manager knew that wood was one foul away from being sent off therefore the half time sub. always thought any push never mind punch in the head was a sending off offence and surely his next offence wanted a second caution which would have happened without him getting the first one. think he got it right though with the bogle incident.

The way woods played for Rotherham in central defence reminded me of two Yorkshire hard (dirty) men ofthe past namely Jackson -York and Michael Parkinson's favourite Barnsley player John Pickering. Both had a shall not pass attitude. Very poor referee last night.

Watched it on telly and Woods straight armed him in the neck, like a rugby hand off but low to stop him passing.
Ref wasn't looking at it and seemed to believe the lying twat that it was on Crawford's chest.

As a neutral watching on TV I thought both both incidents warranted red cards. Woods possibly not entirely for the first incident but then shortly after he goes for a grapple which was a yellow.

Then the second one, with your player through on goal, straight red. I thought the ref bottled it big time.

just wonder if he had the big club mentality and if the boot had been on the other foot pools would have got away with these incidents. we have had players sent off for less. would like to hear from how rotherham fans thought of the incidents from their point of view.

Ref probably thought he was 'letting things run' - but I'm sure we then took a soft booking for Neil Byrne which threw that hypothesis to the wind.

Or thought it was too early to give the red card. For me, the Bogle one was close. The double yellow card was explicit.

referees and penalties....will never be any certainty there....ever....we had a poor referee... and we missed more penalties than them...on another occasion it might have been different....nothing can be done about it...part of the game....and we came very very close....bit like 2005...but still lots to be grateful for...we could be torquay ffs....still in the NL 10 points off a play off place and playing kings lynn saturday  ...us in comparison ...

first season back in the Football League:

✅ Qualified for the FA Cup 4th round.

✅ Reached the EFL Trophy semi-finals.

✅ Beat SEVEN teams from higher divisions.

✅ In a comfortable position in League Two.

....the snake shafted us and kicked us in the goolies....now thanks to raj and spike and NWC and everyone else at the club... we are fighting back.... big time.... clappp

From the first time I saw them play Pools many years ago, they struck as an abrasive physical outfit, my opinion of them down the decades has never changed.

Millmoor Morons?

Yup, ONE poster did say we were diving, cheating twats. ONE poster.
Comments I did read(on the same (board?):
.Woody lucky just to get a yellow.
.Lucky he didn't get a second booking too.
.Edmonds Green a lucky boy there.
.Lucky Millers riding their luck, could have had two reds there.
.Could easily have had two red cards.
.I didn't know what Woody was playing at. He could easily have had a red card and Warney was right to replace him.

That's how I saw it and I'm a Pool's supporter.
The majority of posts that I read were, for me, fair and well balanced.
The poster that claimed we were diving, cheating.... also claimed that Woody merely had his arm out to organise his defence and Crawford ran into it. Even Woody himself didn't try to use that. I wouldn't use that as a defence if my wife gets a black eye. She just ran into it, Your Honour!

I generally look on other boards after a match to see how other supporters saw things. Over the years we've taken a load of slavver and, unfortunately, some of it was justified and some of it wasn't (this season's Northampton match anyone?)

Most of the posts that I read were enthusiastic, very complimentary about the whole experience - in much the same way as SE25 was and still is after the Palace game.
.Proper cup football that was credit to both teams. It's easy to see how Pools have knocked over higher level team this season.
.I was saying the same the other day. After the semi-final line up they were the team I would have liked to play in the final. I think it would
have been a great day with those lot.
.A special mention to the Pools fans who were unreal in creating an atmosphere. Best I've witnessed for many a year. Gracious in defeat too.
When they scored all three sides were bouncing literally. Surprised if there isn't some structural damage to the terracing. Well done to all.
Fabulous night, great atmosphere.
.(The poster had been watching on television with others, but wasn't too fussed really)
.Then Sky showed the Hartlepool crowd (How good were they?) the atmosphere kicked in.... Commiserations to the Pool. What a tremendous set of fans, staff and supporters they are. I wish we'd avoided them in the semis and were playing them in the final. Could have gone 2-0 down with only 10 men... I think they could have beaten any other team in the competition

There's at least a couple of other similar positive, enthusiastic posts. It seems to me the majority of their posters are just ordinary blokes who support their team just like us.
Us and them at Wembley? Well King Ronnie wouldn't have had to buy many drinks.

It's easy/lazy to give a team a label, to stereotype them. The Pools of John Gill, Barry Ashworth, Derek Harrison, Stan Storton were no shrinking violets. In recent seasons we've been relative choirboys, but the stereotype lingers on. How often have we complained about the team not being streetwise enough? And yet we're still often portrayed as a a rough, tough set of virtual barbarians playing up north where it's grim, where there's always a gale force wind blowing of the North Sea and the pitch is rutted.
Lazy, shoddy journalism.
On the day we were playing Sutton at home, the day of Storm Eunice darn sarf, the two flags were hanging limply but the report on Quest still started with, "On a windy day at Victoria Park.." Mindlessly lazy.

.

Yes, would've been an atmosphere to do Wembley proud and a great game.
Cheers for setting the record straight.
