I watched the Warne interview after the game, he mentioned the atmosphere being electric, said the right things, knew he got away with one tonight. The game, I don't think we could have done much more, Rotherham are really physical, they all know their jobs and don't give an inch. For us to have gave them such a game makes me feel so proud. Yes if Bogle could have found his feet and directed the header on target it might have been a different story, however we went toe to toe with the league one champions elect, we have to be proud. I am gutted for my team and town but as an advertisement for who we are, amazing. We go again and a few wins in the league now, maybe a playoff push, we are class. PTID

One of the best games I've witnessed in the 63 years I've been going to the Vic, absolutely gutted with the result and the refereeing but proud of the lads and the effort they put in. I just hope we don't let it effect the next game and drop those standards. Let's get to Wembley the other way. UTP! PTID!

Yes, watching the game on TV, the noise was unreal, game could have went either way, our transition was good at times but Rotherham are so physical and committed that it was so hard. I don't think we could have done anymore than hoping on the pens. We had our chances and the what ifs will always hurt, if mols had squared to wee joe, if bogle could find his feet and get the header on target, but in the end we matched a really strong, physical and committed team who are basically championship now. We have to take this performance into the end of the season, and what a season it has been. NSD, PTID

Looks like it's not meant to be. Hartlepool, Accrington Stanley and a couple of more football league clubs have never played at Wembley. Life's a bitch eh ?

We WILL one day.
Ever since I first saw Rotherham play years ago, they always struck me as a team of physical delinquent miners..... my opinion has never changed down the decades... they’re just organised now.
We move on.

gutted about the final result but totally proud of pools on the night. ok we had a few chances in normal time but so did they. a game that will be remembered more for the performance than the end result. matching what will be the base of a championship side next season needs to be built on even this season when today the lads will be down both physically and mentally.

think about this though - we technically have not been beat off a L1 side in normal time this season. We would be a good mid table L1 side based on the form etc. Playoffs next season for me, we have shown the quality and determination is there.
