Disgraceful refereeing which probably cost us £50k on the night, a trip to Wembley and a further big pay day.

Nothing will be done as usual, with the standard excuse of " well that's football"
A first half of blatant thuggery, condoned by the referee.

I will have my say but I'm not convinced what good it will do. They're going to Wembley and we're not, thanks to the ref.

Even t' Yorkshire Post thinks Wood was lucky not to get a straight red for his first foul on Crawford.

The atmosphere in the Vic at the end was more admiration for the way the lads had played than disappointment about missing a big day out. With Pools on the track they are on now, there'll be more big days to look forward to.

I'll just stick to the facts and evidence and question why a Yorkshireman from Huddersfield was appointed Ref.
Warnie and his team got away with it and he knows it.

The general tone of the article was a touch patronising in some respects, one comment caught my eye....’Hartlepool Utd made Rotherham fight foe everything they got in a bruising encounter’.... bit rich that, and referring to the Rotherham team ‘..... others will be feeling sore this morning’ ... really? ...and described the first half as ‘ a pure slugfest’.
Makes them sound like victims.

You could really question this and other possibly incensative appointments to games for no reason whatsoever. If he had been over sensitive and sent a couple of their guys off i,m sure rotherham would be saying that he overcomersated for being a more local ref to them. The worst must have been when steve baines was on the league refs list. He got an away game where the away side was actually a team he had played for, chesterfield. Makes even sunday league appointments look fair when one team call the ref by his first name from the 1st minute of the game.

We were cheated simple as that. Some may say bit of payback for Torquay decisions going against them, but we have had some dreadful decisions against us in massive games. Sheff Wed, Brentford, Bristol city and Rotherham just to name a few.
