7 out of 9.
I always say get to within 5 points of play offs with 5 games to go then its still doable.

We did it about 22 years ago winning our last game of season at Exeter with a 1000 poolies in attendance.
UTP.

It would be great if there was something still to play for at the last game at home to Colchester on May 5th with the Vic rocking.

Think a lot is going depend on how many of our key players are available game on game. Pretty much every other club in the division has had the same schedule in recent weeks, so it's a test of how good the squad is - most of the time. There's always a team that leads a charmed life with injuries, like Leicester when they won the Prem.

We never really do well at Colchester or Harrogate so anything in these games be a bonus. More than 4 points and we will of done really well.

Win, Lose, Draw in that order. Four points - but any more than that would be a clear marker of our recent improvement.

well we,ll see what is really realistic after those three games. i,d honestly be quite happy with the season anyway if pools finished where they are now. decent cup run, at least a semi final in the papa johns. who really would have forcasted all this back in august.

i honestly didnt think we would be taking 10 points from our last 4 - this team is out to shock us at every turn this season.

ill go with a draw tonight - lose - win - Be happy with that given the circumstances with injuries. The run of catchup games is having its tole on us unfortunately and having that amazing cup run this season was always going to come with having tired legs. The price you pay at this level for having a cup run unfortunately.

they have, but were the type of team pools would have played in an early pre season friendly for the reserves.

True but we have Lidds thoroughly rested and ready to step in and the loan lad Hull may turn out to be a gem. If Morrison and Sterry and Grey are back we will have decent chance. Fingers crossed.

Great win tonight, let's hope the new manager bounce at Walsall has gone after tonight and we can nick another result, no one will fancy coming to a rocking pools ground, if we keep winning games.

Let’s be honest, as a club I still can’t take them seriously. If I was a billionaire I could buy a team of world beaters, call them ‘Our Back Garden Rovers’ ( Crowd; Me and Rat boy) work our way up the league and wipe the floor with the opposition, but it would count for nothing and prove nothing save money can’t buy tradition and a fan base of meaning.

lot will depend on what reaction to last nights drubbing he can get. surely they will be better than colchester and pools will have to play better for the full game to get anything out of it.

even with the modern day trend of people changing clubs to watch a winning one all these fans will drift away once these clubs have 2 or 3 average or poor seasons with no promotions on view. plenty of poolies will have had fathers and grandfathers who have supported the side. you,d be lucky to find one who could trace their footballing history at their place before 2000. even in the bad times our memories keep us going of times with people in the past. what memories have they got, farsley celtic on a tuesday night.

Morrison's got no more chance of getting a game than the Asda - it's Bryn Morris bbolt

Forest Green Rovers baffle me, where did the ‘supporters’ come from? Middle of nowhere with established teams in the general area which would probably have long ago hoovered up any proper fans around there. I can only assume it’s the team of the Vegans..... plant based pork pie anyone...you can’t tell the difference

think there are a few good reasons for this. none of the other teams in a reasonable travelling distance are doing that well. they are on a great run winning far more than they lose. then the green thing that does appeal to many and following them will make em feel all warm inside and can ignore their own carbon footprint in the 100 mile round trip they make to the centre of their world.

i,m sure there was always a team in dorking but it says they were founded in 1999. sounds a bit more stevenage than the greenies.

I just have the tedious feeling that FGR are just a rich man’s project with a shelf life.

You can hear their supporters chatting in the clubhouse post match over Peruvian Larks Tears Spring water and a fish free fish supper with parsnip chips.

“...remember the bad old days way, way back in 2019, before we were famous and the long road from there to here three very long years ago. All we had to cling onto was money fuelled success..... it’s a burden, not easy to handle success y’know, but we stuck with it. These new supporters here have it made.”

these new supporters have it made but their backs will never be as broad as older fans who have seen bad times and stuck with it. doubt they,ll ever get as much from games as i have got from the odd pools win amongst the defeats in the distant and not too distant past. even now tirning up to the vic in a good home run and seeing another win is not as satisfying as the bad old days wins were.

You’re dead right. That 11 game run without scoring a goal in 97-98 was fantastic. And 23 draws in a season 92-93 was fabulous. The amount of times we could have snatched a win but didn’t made it all worthwhile. Ah the good old days far far better than that predictable play off final win or a cup run to a semi-final. They’ll never appreciate a win like we do eh? Wtf.

Pools are still 8 points off a promotion place after Saturday's win. Most of the teams above us are winning as often as Pools are and a couple have games in hand.

Tranmere will drop out of the automatic promotion places if their dire run of results continues but Exeter will take their place. Pools probably need to win three-quarters of their remaining 12 games to go close. Not impossible, but a very big ask!

I think we need to win our home games and pick up six points minimum from away and that will be close.

retribution to be had against Orient - hopefully stank them by 3/4 - can see us winning our next 2 league home games.

Mark Hughes yet to get Bradford in any sort of form - they are doing crap atm so they are there for the taking - no doubt will come to our place and give us a hard job of it though.

can see an unexpected push for the playoffs - a team in the top 10 are likely to hit a bad run of maybe 2/3 games in which i think we can catch up. This season is turning out as good as last UTP !

Avoid injuries and suspensions to key players then its certainly not impossible.
I feel a lot more confident when Fergy n Sterry are both on the pitch.

imagine in the past that a team in the same position as pools are now in have made the play offs. doubt they,ll do it myself but you have to live in hope. a defeat tomorrow and on saturday could be the end as it would take a massive effort to get the lads confidence back. a big two games ahead.

All this talk about the playoffs is wonderful, but I've got a big smile on me face simply because we already have 47 points and are almost certain of avoiding the drop!

This is only the second time (after 2015-16) in the last ten years I've been content and relaxed near the end of a football league season and its great, mission already accomplished for this year.

And still two months of footy to enjoy - happy days!

If someone had offered what we have now after DC, left I’d have ripped their arm off.
