thought id entered the wrong page of the forum for a sec there and had to check the date - Blair Adams and Luke George dear me, Another pair of bench warming forgotten useless men. Although Blair did feature more than George.

Blair still plying his trade for South Shields although wiki has him on Loan to Gateshead ?

George however seems to be without a club since 2019 - only guess is hes thrown the towel in. was crap like.

on the other Hand a certain George Luke 1953-1959 had a terrific career for us scoring 60 in 186 games later went onto to play for Newcastle and Darlo.

I nearly put Luke George and George Luke to score but was struggling to put them in the same sentence out of respect for the latter.

Luke George was one of a long line of crocks Pools signed in the lost decade - not surprised he hung up his boots. Probably he was decent once. Blair Adams was just a terrible footballer when he was with us.

Blair was another Sunderland dissident who somehow made a career out of playing prof football. There is a long line of them from that academy. Alot of their supposed golden era are now bricklayers and plasterers. Henderson being the exception !

As I live in Essex rang Cawley ticket office for a ticket on the away end to be told they could not sell me one till they get the returns from Pools who took the full allocation. I then asked t he ticket office manager if I could pay on the gate not until they know how many are coming from Pools. So I am not going I said it was a very sloppy way to run a business.
so come on the lads Crawley 0- Pools2

Don't go in their end (or 'corner' if that's a general thing now) and you'll be fine. Done it loads myself when I was living in Yorkshire. Most football fans are just that - fans not headbangers.

Still 0-0 but they had a Hugh-esque free kick from 30 yards that almost took the cross bar off! Joe Gray had a chance for us but pretty even up to now, they might be slightly shading it but not much in it.

Pools look as though they now know how to see out a match without conceding late goals. Early days but Bogle looks like the striker for which the fans have been crying out. Well done, UTP.

Creepy Crawley need to learn the lesson that possession without a goal scorer is not productive.

Noticed the crowd down there, if you take away the Pools fans it was a under a 2,000 crowd.

Still 15th but closing on the teams immediately above. Pools' best league result since the win at Bradford in mid-October. clappp

Yes, he's got a pretty decent squad together and the dressing room looks to be right behind him. Keep it going Graeme. Safety is appearing strong on the horizon. Dare we speak of a push for the play offs. Now that would be nice.

Played pretty poorly and won. Two BIG challenges ahead - Tranmere are flying and Sutton are quite possibly the worst team to face due to their size and physicality. Come on Pools, into them!!!

Tranmere and Sutton will be difficult but certainly nothing to fear. They have average away records so definitely beatable!.

Maybe the Trannies are going through a slight blip but they have the best defensive record in League Two. We'll need to be firing on all cylinders to score against them. They have Josh Hawkes so the former player scoring against their previous team could come in to play.

Sutton bunch of huge barstewards.

About time we won a game where we weren't great. Hopefully save the good performances for this week. Beat Tranmere and it will certainly make the Sutton game very interesting. Pleased for Lee getting the results he deserves for being more positive.

Typical posturing gobshite as he rocked from foot to foot during the interview, the bloke is to interviews what dogs are to cats..... classic bullying behaviour as he accepts ‘total’ responsibility for the defeat then slags his players off then closes by accepting responsibility again, a classic bullshit sandwich. Referring to one of our players as ‘Jack the Ripper’ and saying everyone agreed he should have been sent off except the referee, asks the the question does he know the ref’s decision is the only one that does count Doh. Then admitted he deserved to be sent off for what he said to the referee....you wouldn’t want him to buy the house next door.
The player they wheeled out complained we scored a ‘sloppy’ goal then defended well to keep them out but not in a complimentary way.
